The International Management Institute, also abbreviated as IMI, was established in 1981 as the first ever ‘corporate sponsored’ Business School. It was ranked among top 12 Best Business Schools in India by Indian Business Magazine in 2000.
The main branch of IMI is located in Delhi. It came up with two other branches in Kolkata (2010) and Bhubaneswar (2011). It has the privilege of being sponsored by few of the top corporate which include RPG Enterprises, ITC, Nestle, Tata Chemicals, British Oxygen and Williamson Magor.
Under the guidance of Dr. Himadri Das, Director General- IMI Delhi today runs various post graduate programs like post-graduate diploma in Management and a doctoral program. It also runs executive programs to cope with the changing business environment. IMI runs six courses in total for the management students.
IMI Delhi has been ranked among the top 10-15 Business Schools and top 5 private Business Schools in India. IMI was ranked amongst top 10 best Business Schools in India by Indian Magazine Outlook in 2005.
There are at present 47 faculty members in IMI. Experienced faculty members cater to different areas and subjects. The faculty members of IMI are all achievers. They have been a part of the corporate world and have years of experience. They have won various recognitions and awards in their field of expertise.
IMI Delhi Courses offered and Fee Structure
The college offers multiple post graduation courses in management which includes Post-Graduate diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Financial Services(PGDM (B&FS)) and many more.
Apart from these, it also offers various executive programs to provide an all round development to mid-level executives and enable them to adapt to the changing business environment and face the challenges of moving to the top-level management.
IMI Delhi Course Highlights
- On PG level, IMI offers three full-time PGDM couses - Marketing, Human Resources Management and Banking & Financial Services.
- The college also offers an executive PGDM course, which is 15-month log program designed for experienced middle level managers.
- On doctoral level, the collge offers a Fellow Program in Management (FPM) and an Executive - FPM (EFPM) program.

IMI Delhi Admission Process
All the applicants are admitted to the program on the basis of marks scored in Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs. NRIs and other foreign students are also eligible for the admission process on the basis of their GMAT scores.
- For full-time post graduate diploma programs, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of CAT score or GMAT scores.
- For Executive PGDM, selection is done on the basis of CAT, GMAT, XAT or IMI Test score.
- For FPM and EFPM, candidate’s CAT, GMAT, XAT or IMI scores are considered.
IMI Delhi Placements
The placements activities in IMI are primarily driven by students. To support the placement activities, IMI has a Corporate Relations and Placements Committee.
The main purpose of this committee is to be in touch with the corporate houses. Students organize summer internship, NGO internship etc under the guidance of this committee. It provides valuable advice, suggestions and resources to secure 100% placement opportunity.

IMI Delhi Result and Cut-off
IMI Delhi announces its cut-off after the results of the CAT exams are declared. The students who have scored above the cutoff mark and have applied for IMI will be shortlisted on the basis of various criteria.
IMI Delhi had announced a cutoff mark of 88 percentile for PGDM and 85 percentile for PGDHRM and PGDM (BFS). Other than the overall cutoff mark, sectional cut-off marks are also considered.

The IMI Campus is spread in 3 acres and is located in the heart of the city. It enjoys the opportunity of being in touch with large corporations, business houses, government and foreign embassies.
Life at IMI is indeed very comfortable as it offers all the amenities that a student wishes for. It has a huge library with a collection of more than 2600 books on various subjects. IMI has separate accommodation facilities for both boys and girls.
