Is it true MDI stopped counting 10th/12th marks in final selection?
Read that for the 2026 cycle MDI dropped Class 10/12 marks from the final selection formula and gave CAT a big chunk of the weightage. Does anyone know if the same structure applies for the 2027-29 batch, or should I wait for the official admission policy? My 12th marks are weak so this matters a lot to me.
Does MDI have sectional cutoffs for CAT? My DILR is my weak section.
I’m scoring decently in VARC and QA mocks but DILR keeps dragging me to the 80s. Does MDI apply sectional cutoffs at the shortlisting stage, and roughly how strict have they been? Should I be spending my last 10 weeks mostly on DILR?
Current MDI students — what does a normal week actually look like?
Got an offer (fingers crossed on the final list) and I’d love to hear from current students: how heavy are the trimesters, how much time do clubs and competitions take, and is there any breathing room? Honest answers welcome, good and bad.

Highest packages vs median — which number should aspirants actually look at?
MDI’s 2024-26 PGDM report put the highest domestic offer at 97.5 LPA. Great headline, but one offer tells you very little about your own outcome. I’d argue median + bottom-quartile tell you more. What do you all look at when judging a B-school?
Do I need to fill a separate MDI form or is CAT registration enough?
CAT registration deadline is around the corner. For MDI, is ticking it somewhere in the CAT form enough, or does MDI need a separate application on its own portal? Don’t want to miss a deadline because I assumed wrong.

Third attempt. Mocks hover around 90-92 percentile. MDI has always been my dream. Is it even realistic to jump to the high 90s in 10 weeks, or should I start targeting XAT schools as a backup now?

How much weight should we give to online chatter about B-school culture?
Every school, MDI included, has threads calling the culture competitive or intense. Current students, how much of what’s online matches reality? And how should an incoming student read these threads?
What does MDI’s selection round look like now — PI only, or is there a written/GD component?
Preparing for the interview round. Can someone who went through it recently describe the format? Is there any written test or GD, and roughly how long are the interviews?
Is 58% in graduation okay for applying to MDI?
I’m in final year with around 58% aggregate. Am I eligible to apply for MDI’s PGDM, and does a lower graduation score hurt a lot at the final selection stage?
MDI folks — how was your summer internship process?
Would love to hear from students who just did summers: how many shortlists did you get, how prepared did you feel, and would you do anything differently?
Is the MDI Gurgaon campus accessible for students with mobility issues?
I use crutches for long distances. How spread out is the campus, are hostels and academic blocks accessible, and does the admin help with room allocation?
The criteria keeps changing every year, this year also it’s expected to change. Last yr for us they brought a new Behavioural Assessment Test section which has a weightage of 5 in the final selection criteria replacing 10th and 12th which earlier had 2.5 weightage each.

You got an offer for PGDM - BM?
MDI has internal sectional cutoff but it’s not revealed. Can be anywhere between 65-75%ile per section. It also varies with each program.
