The NMAT is an MBA entrance exam that can grant students admission to top management programmes in India, South Africa and Philippines that accept NMAT scores.
The NMAT is the official entrance exam of NMIMS, Mumbai and this exam is now registered with GMAC which is the Graduate Management Admission Council.
The NMAT exam for the academic session 2020-21 will be offered to aspirants in a testing window from Oct 6, 2020 to Dec 19, 2020 (75 days testing window).

NMAT 2021 Exam Date
NMAT by GMAC is a competitive exam conducted to aid business schools in recognizing the most skilful and intelligent students from those aspiring to become leading mark makers in the field of business.
It is conducted by the very organization that conducts GMAT exam. It is a computer-based test from the year 2009. It has nearly the highest number of women and non-engineers appearing for this examination.

NMAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The NMAT by GMAC is a computer administrated test owned by the Graduate Management Global Connection India Private Limited. It is a subsidiary of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
It is an exam used for the admissions to some of the leading business programmes in India. It became a computer-based test only in 2005.
The exam is conducted for 2 hours of multiple-choice questions. Prior to the start of the NMAT exam, there will be a 2-minute period for the candidates to agree to the Non-disclosure Agreement, a 10- minute Tutorial and 3-minute Period for selection and sequencing.
There are 3 sections- Language skills, Quantitative skills, Logical Reasoning. Each section will be individually timed.
The candidates who appear for NMAT exam are qualified for admissions in NMIMS University and 25 other B-Schools in India which accept the NMAT Score.
The candidates have to understand the eligibility criteria before applying for the NMAT exam. The candidates of Both Indian and Foreign Origin can apply for NMAT exam. The candidates are advised to check the websites of each university and school where they plan to apply.
The basic eligibility criteria for NMAT by GMAC are as follows:
- The candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or Equivalent from a recognized university
- The candidates must secure a least 50%marks in the qualifying exam
- Candidates who will be appearing for the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply.
NMAT 2021 Registration
- Candidates can apply for the exam only in ONLINE mode.
- You can register for NMAT by GMAC through the online registration application available on the official website www.nmat.org.in from 1st August of 2020 to 5th of October 2020.
- GMAC will not accept registrations from test takers in any other mode or form.
Step by Step Registration
1] Register yourself on the NMAT website. Here you will need to enter personal details like Name, mobile number, email address etc. To complete the registration, validate the details via the registration confirmation email.
2] Schedule your test date and venue from available dates. NMAT exam date allocation is on first come first serve basis so it would be prudent to register as early as possible.
NMAT 2021 Exam Pattern
NMAT by GMAC is one of the most sought after competitive exams by management students. The students are allowed to give the exam three times in a year. The exam pattern has not changed a lot since the past few years and it is expected to remain the same this year as well.
This computer based examination is of 120 minutes and comprises of 120 objective type questions that are distributed in three sections. The three sections in which the NMAT by GMAC examination has been divided into are as given below:

NMAT 2021 Syllabus
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) conducts a National level management entrance exam every year called NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) for admitting students into the management courses.

NMAT 2021 Admit Card
NMAT is an MBA entrance examination conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
The candidates who clear this examination are granted admission to NMIMS University and 25 other various management institutes throughout the country.
The admissions are conducted through three various levels of tests: the computer-based exams, the case discussion and the personal interview.

NMAT 2021 Result
GMAC, one of the conducting bodies of the exam, organizes the NMAT (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Management Aptitude Test) for admission in the MBA programme, every year, at any of the 23 participating B-schools.
Some of the reputed colleges that accept NMAT score are NMIMS, XIMB, IBS Hyderabad, VIT Vellore, SDA Bocconi Asia Center, Mumbai, and Alliance Bangalore. Once the exam is conducted the answer key is also released by the institute.
The answer key can be downloaded by visiting the official website and entering the registration number and the password. Candidates can cross verify their answers with the help of the answer key.
This helps the candidates to get their estimated score before the score is released by the conducting body and have an idea about what kind of courses and institutes they can apply as per the score obtained.
The result is available 10-12 days after the test while the score card shows the scaled score and released 4-5 weeks after the exam is conducted.
The score card contains detailed information about section wise score, total score of the candidate and percentile marking. Candidates who will qualify the cut off criteria decided by the GMAC will be eligible to take part in the counselling process. Based on the score of NMAT by GMAC exam, merit list is prepared.
Candidates can visit the NMAT official website to check their result. This can be done by entering the Email ID and password to log into the NMAT account. One can also download or print out their scorecard from the website.
The cut off for NMAT 2018 is the minimum marks or percentile required to appear for selection process in the participating institutes of NMAT by GMAC. After the result of the online NMAT exam 2019 are declared, candidates will be shortlisted for the selection rounds. Candidates can check their NMAT result by using their user ID and password. Candidates with marks greater than the NMAT cutoff marks are selected for further rounds of the admission process.
Shortlisted candidates will have to attempt for Group Discussion (GD) or Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds conducted by the participating institutes. The admission to the B-schools are based on merit and NMAT 2020 cutoff.
More than 20 NMAT Colleges will be declaring their individual NMAT by GMAC cut-offs both sectional and overall.
Universities like O.P. Jindal University, Bennett University, Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad University are the latest additions to the list of MBA colleges accepting NMAT by GMAC scores for admission to 2019 – 20 academic session.
Other than the overall cut offs of NMAT, participating colleges will also consider sectional cut offs for shortlisting the candidates for final admissions.
NMAT by GMAC cut off marks for various degree courses have remained constant during the last few years. There is no different cut off lists for different categories. However, about 30% seats in NMIMS are reserved for women.
