SNAP 2023 Exam Information

What is SNAP?

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is a well known exam for aspirants who want to pursue management programs from the Symbiosis International University. It is an all India B School entrance test held by the deemed to be university. The scorecard of SNAP is applicable to get admission to about 15 institutions that come under Symbiosis. It offers post-grad management courses with a seating capacity of 1867 students. 

SNAP Exam 2023

It is a two hour CBT (computer-based test) mode of examination usually held in the month of December. There are three sessions of examination, which will be conducted in December 2023, and the result will be declared in January 2024.

The registrations for the SNAP 2023 test will tentatively commence fom August 17, 2023 on the official website of the test. It is advised to fill out the registration form the earliest before the last week of November 2023.

SNAP Exam 2023 dates

Symbiosis International University is a reputed and deemed to be university headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra. It has a total of 28 institutions under them located in the cities of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and Nashik. The university offers a plethora of undergrad, postgraduate and research courses.

Aspirants who want to pursue MBA, MSc (SS) and MSc (CA) from Symbiosis university must give the SNAP exam. An aspirant can appear for a maximum of two sessions of the SNAP exam in which the higher percentile will be considered for the final percentile calculation. Aspirants must pay the non-refundable examination fees.

**Depending on the prevailing pandemic situation of COVID-19 or any other unavoidable circumstances, the schedules, as well as the nature/structure of the test, can change, and all tests can be conducted entirely online or entirely offline or in a combination of both modes at the discretion of SIU.

Eligibility Criteria for SNAP 2023

It is a CBT mode of exam compulsory for those candidates interested in pursuing management programs from the Symbiosis International University (deemed to be). The university offers a wide range of courses in MBA. The candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria in order to apply for the exam. Some of the eligibility criteria are given below.

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution or university. 
  • The minimum marks required to be eligible for the test is 50% marks in undergrad for the open category. 
  • However, the reserved categories of Maharashtra state should have more than 45% of marks in the undergrad.
  • Appearing for the exam does not imply any age limit.
  • Students belonging to other nations apart from India are also eligible to apply. However, they must get their certificates verified by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

Only meeting the eligibility criteria doesn’t ensure any admission to the university. They are only shortlisted for admission if they appear for the test and pass it with minimum cut off marks. Every year, the minimum cutoff marks vary depending upon the institutions.

How to apply for the SNAP test?

Some of the steps to apply for the test are mentioned below.

Registration 

  • Fill out the first part of the registration form. ( details regarding phone no., email id, name etc)
  • After the first part, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and email id for verification.
  • Validate the mobile number and email id.
  • Make the payment of the fee using the payment methods suitable to the candidates.

Candidates have various methods for the payment of the registration fees. They can pay online as well as through Demand Draft. Some of the payment methods are given below.

Exam pattern for SNAP 2023

SNAP 2023 Syllabus

The exam syllabus for the year 2023 is not predefined by the university. However the examination will be grounded on the current structure and guidelines for SNAP. Analyzing the previous year’s papers for the test tells us about the syllabus and pattern of the test. It consists of four sections.

It has been issued that the SNAP 2023 exam going to be conducted in December 2023 will be a 120-minute duration exam. The SNAP covers all the sectional test composition, 

the number of questions, important topics, type of questions and scoring pattern in the SNAP test.

Section Wise SNAP TEST Syllabus

However the syllabus for SNAP 2023 is split into sections and subsections.

The sectional subdivision of the SNAP syllabus makes the exam contain six effective sections for the three sections. Current Affairs is an exception that is further sub-divided into subsections. The syllabus for SNAP 2023 will be thus based on the previous year’s test patterns which include questions from all these sections.

SNAP 2023 Admit Card

SNAP is a national level test conducted by the deemed to be Symbiosis International University headquartered in Pune. It is an entrance test held for taking admissions to the MBA or MSc courses in Symbiosis International University. Usually, the SNAP examination is held once a year in the month of December. It is a CBT (Computer Based Test) mode of examination.

The candidates wishing to get an MBA, MSc (CA) or MSc (SS) from Symbiosis International University must qualify the online test SNAP.

However the pattern or structure of the SNAP test has been changed significantly for the year 2023. Also the conducting body has declared the results of SNAP for the year 2023. Candidates can check their results from the official websites of SNAP.

Score Card

The results for the aforementioned test are computed keeping in mind the pattern of examination. The test is divided into four sections whose specific scores are calculated.

SNAP Cutoff

SNAP is a national-level test for taking admissions to the management programs offered by the 28 different institutions under the guidance of Symbiosis International University. The different institutions are located in Bengaluru, Nasik, Noida, Pune and Hyderabad.

It is a two hours CBT mode of examination conducted for giving admissions for the postgraduate management programmes. Last year the SNAP 2022 test was held on 10th, 18th & 23rd of December 2022.

SNAP 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Those candidates desirous of giving the SNAP test should meet some of the prerequisites given below.

  • Must have done a Bachelor’s in any discipline from a recognized college or university with a minimum 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • The minimum marks required in the undergraduate for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST criteria is 45% or equivalent CGPA.
  • Those candidates having a foreign degree or qualification have to verify their qualifications from AIU before applying for the SNAP test.
  • The students in the final year of their undergraduate are also eligible to apply for the SNAP exam. However candidates have to produce their proper undergraduate certification if shortlisted for admission into Symbiosis International University.
