Vellore Institute is private deemed university situated on the outskirts of Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The Engineering college of VIT is ranked in the list of top Engineering schools in India. Beyond the engineering sector, there are more than 20 undergraduate programs, 34 postgraduate and four integrated programs. Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the exam of B.Tech admission through the various campuses of Vellore and Chennai also universities in Amravati and Bhopal. The exam is conducted online since 2013 while in 2018 there were more than 2,00,000 students who have registered for this exam It is University Level entrance exam that would be conducted through online mode. The admission after the test will be provided as per their performance of candidates. Admissions done through engineering exams by the Vellore Institute of Technology is known as VITEEE Exam (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination. It is considered as this entrance exam is easier compared to other entrance exams. A candidate can avail this online as well as offline mode from 2020. VITEEE 2020 Exam Date

All the important notifications and further instructions are available on their official website. Vellore Institute of Technology conducts its entrance exam from April 10 to April 21, 2020. It is an online entrance exam with various sessions held per day. The application has been released by VIT on September 27, 2020, for both online as well as offline candidates. There were more than 2,12,000 candidates who have registered for an entrance examination. A candidate should prepare well for the examination held in April.
A candidate can always be updated on the website. The forms have been available for offline and online applicants from September. The release of VITEEE Mock Test would be initiating from the First week of January 2020. The exam would be held from 2nd to 3rd Week of April 2020. There would be three different slots available.
Session 1 would be from 9:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m.
Session 2: 12: 30 p.m. to 3:00 P.m.
Session 3: 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
It is a national level exam occurred once a year through computer-based exam for Admission of B.Tech Programs conducted by VIT group of institutes. There are 120 test centers in India and 4 centers abroad where candidates can appear for the offline exam.
VITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
In order to appear for online entrance exam of VITEEE 2020, there are some requirements and conditions that candidates need to meet for participation. There are various factors that lie under eligibility criteria such as nationality, academic qualifications and many others that need to fulfill by candidates to appear for an examination. Kindly note, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria, or their form would be directly disqualified and not able to proceed further. Candidates are advised to check the documentation properly before attempting for an application form.
Nationality – A candidate needs to be resident of India. NRIs can also apply for this entrance exam. PIO/OCI candidates those appeared in schools of India in the last two years are eligible for applying.
Age: Candidates for VITEEE 2020 must have date birth on or after 1st July 1996. They must have completed 17 years of age as on 1st The Date of birth recorded on the certificate of Class 10th, SSC, High School is considered as final. Original proof of age to be submitted at the time of counseling is mandatory.
Education Qualification: Candidates who either complete one of the following qualifying exams or to appear in 2020 are eligible to apply for it.
Must have completed 10 + 2 grade of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education, The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination.
From a recognized board or University must have appeared for Intermediate or Two years Pre-University Examination.
Once the VITEEE online application form is available, the candidate must follow the steps to complete the application process. The University conducts the Entrance Examination known as VIT Engineering Entrance Examination. By achieving the desired result in the entrance exam, students are able to get admission into four years program of B.Tech at their VIT Campus including Chennai, Bhopal, and AP. Nearly more than 2 lakh candidates appear for the exam and the number is increasing every year. There are more than 118 cities where the exam would be scheduled. The University has a vacancy of around 5000 B.Tech seats in its college. It is essential to score high and achieve admission in your desired college.

The forms have started from 27 September, 2020 and would continue till 29 February 2020 for both online and offline mode applications. Online application form fees are Rs 1150 while for offline Application form the amount is of Rs. 1200.
Steps for Registration process VITEEE 2020
Registration: The candidates must register their personal detail information asked like name, date of birth, gender, nationality, email id, and mobile number. The OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number along with her email id. Once you have submitted this basic information there would log in and password sent to the registered email id of candidates.
Filling of Application Form: The application form would prompt you for candidate’s personal information about education, qualifying exam and contact details. Application number would be generated after submitting the details.
Payment – The candidates must pay the amount of application fee through net banking, credit card or debit card mode.
The candidates must have aggerated 60% of score in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics or Biology qualify to appear in the examination. VITEEE is a university-based entrance exam. The exam is online and conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It would be held in three sessions per day. It has the same format as other entrance Exam, MCQ. Candidates who appear for B.Tech Biotechnology must have opted Biology instead of Mathematics subject. Through the exam, each section would have 40 Multiple choice questions, but English would have 5 MCQ’s. It is a computer-based exam that would be conducted on 2nd to 3rd week April, 2020.

VITEEE will announce the result of their entrance exam last week of April probably. Those candidates who attempted the exam will be able to check their result with the help of their application number and date of birth. VITEEE result 2020 would include score and ranks mentioned on it. The qualified candidates would be informed through an official mail about their results. After the announcement of the dates, candidates would be able to participate in counseling sessions and seat allotment process.
The institute does not officially publish the cutoff. The cut off will be the closing rank at which the admission would be granted. The candidates must secure equal or below the scores of closing rank. If the rankings of a candidate are above the cutoff, they would not be given admission. It is suggested to check the previous year closing and opening rank in order to have a rough idea about it. At Bhopal and Amravati campuses, there is no cut off available, as they are new. There are various factors that are kept into consideration while declaring cut off.

VIT does not officially announce cuff off of VITEEE. It would be available as closing rank. Checking cutoff would give an idea about their admission chances. The cutoff will give them an idea about ranks they need to achieve for an entrance test. The cut off is different as per programs and campuses. Those candidates who score from 118 and above marks will achieve 1-250 rank range, 400- 250 will achieve 500-250 rank range. Those with less than 31 marks will have rank 20,000 or below it.
