The flagship programme offered by IIFT Delhi is the two-year fully residential MBA in International Business, which is structured across six trimesters and designed as a general management programme with a strong emphasis on international business.

Admission to IIFT Delhi for the 2026 MBA batch (MBA in International Business / MBA in Business Analytics) is based on CAT 2025 scores. Candidates must have a 3-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD), and final-year students are also eligible to apply. The application process is conducted online, with registrations expected to close in late November 2025. After the CAT results, shortlisted candidates are invited for further evaluation, which includes an extempore, group discussion and personal interview. The final selection is based on CAT score, performance in the selection rounds, academic and gender diversity, and work experience (if applicable). Final results are expected by April–May 2026, and classes are likely to commence in June 2026. The total fee for the MBA programme at the Delhi campus is approximately ₹21.8 lakhs for the 2026–28 batch.

IIFT New Delhi Admission 2026

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi offers admission to postgraduate and doctoral programs based on national-level entrance exams followed by further selection rounds such as written tests, group discussions, and personal interviews. The course-wise admission process is as follows:

Course-wise Admission Criteria

  • MBA (International Business) & MBA (Business Analytics):

    Admission is based on CAT scores, followed by WAT (Written Ability Test), GD/Extempore, and PI.

  • MA (Economics):

    Selection is based on performance in the AI Proctored Entrance Exam conducted by IIFT, followed by a Personal Interview.

  • Ph.D.:

    Admission is granted based on UGC NET scores + Personal Interview.

  • PG Diploma (International Business / HR Management):

    Candidates are shortlisted based on academic profile, Group Discussion, Essay Writing, and Personal Interview.

  • Certificate Program in Export–Import Management:

    Offered in weekend and online modes; admission is through direct entry or interview, depending on the volume of applications.

The IIFT Delhi admission procedure is conducted in two major stages:

IIFT New Delhi Course Admissions for Full Time MBA-IB 2026

The flagship program at IIFT Delhi is the MBA in International Business. This two-year course is structured into six semesters. The total fee for the program amounts to INR 21.77 Lakhs. Eligible candidates for admission are those with a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/PWD Category), as well as students in their final year of graduation.

IIFT Delhi MBA Registration Process

The registration process for the IIFT Delhi MBA program can be completed in four steps:

Step 1: Register online by providing a unique Email ID and Mobile Number.

Step 2: Fill out the online application form and make a note of the system-generated Application Number.

Step 3: Upload scanned images of the candidate’s Photograph, Signature, and relevant Category/Subcategory Certificate (if applicable). All documents should be in JPG/JPEG format.

Step 4: Make the payment of the fee using ICICI/PAYTM Payment Gateway through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or PAYTM. Remember to keep proof of the fee payment.

IIFT New Delhi Admission Criteria: MBA (IB) Selection

The selection criteria for the MBA (IB) program at IIFT Delhi involve the evaluation of candidates based on their scores in the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). The selection process consists of two stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting

The IIFT Entrance Test follows a specific pattern:

  • It is an objective type test.
  • The duration of the test is 120 minutes.
  • The test consists of 110 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • The questions cover various areas, including Quantitative Analysis, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness.

Stage 2: Final Selection

Candidates who are shortlisted in Stage 1 are required to participate in the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection is based on the performance of the candidates in these rounds.

Please note that due to the current Covid-19 situation, the GD and WAT rounds have been excluded from the IIFT Delhi MBA (IB) Admission Criteria. Instead, the institute conducted online Extempore and PI for the shortlisted candidates. The criteria for the final selection are presented in the following table:

IIFT New Delhi Course Admissions for EPGDIB 2026

The IIFT Delhi Executive Post Graduate Diploma in International Business (EPGDIB) and Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Global Human Resource Management (EPGD-GHRM) are 18-month on-campus weekend programs conducted at the Delhi campus. There is no age limit for applicants applying to IIFT Delhi EPGDIB & EPGD-GHRM Programs. However, sponsored candidates are required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of admission.

EPGDIB Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduation or an equivalent degree from any recognised University, OR
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in an institution with managerial responsibilities, OR
  • Post-Graduate Degree/Engineering Degree or an equivalent qualification from any recognised University, AND
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in an institution with managerial responsibilities, AND
  • Minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks or an equivalent CGPA in Graduation.

EPGD-GHRM Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the EPGD-GHRM program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Graduated in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/PWD Category) and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in management or executive level.

OR

  1. Hold a post-graduate or any professional degree such as Law, Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture, Horticulture, etc., with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.

IIFT New Delhi Admission Criteria: EPGDIB Selection

Candidates for the EPGDIB program will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and work experience. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to appear for a personal interview for the final selection process.

IIFT New Delhi Admission Criteria: EPGD-GHRM Selection

Candidates for the EPGD-GHRM program will be shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s overall performance in the personal interview, taking into consideration their past academic records, work experience, motivation, willingness to excel, and commitment to completing the program.

IIFT New Delhi Course Admissions for PhD 2026

IIFT Delhi provides a comprehensive five-year doctoral (PhD) program in Management and Economics. The PhD in Management program offers five specialised areas, namely General Management & Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and IT Innovation & Technology Management.

To be eligible for the PhD program at IIFT Delhi, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree with a minimum grade point average of 55% or higher. Candidates with an M.Phil in Economics can also apply for a PhD in Economics.

  2. Candidates who have completed a PGDM program, which is equivalent to a Master’s degree, are also eligible.

  3. Part-time candidates must have a minimum of three years of relevant teaching or research experience.

  4. SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks.

IIFT New Delhi Admission Criteria: PhD Selection

The selection process for the PhD program at IIFT Delhi consists of two steps:

Step 1: Written Exam

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their previous academic qualifications and work experience. Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written test conducted by the institute.

A 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks is applicable to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD candidates.

Step 2: Final Selection/Interview

Candidates who qualify the written test will be invited for a personal interview, which will be communicated through email. The final merit list will be prepared based on research experience, academic qualifications, work experience, and performance in the written test and interview.

Selected candidates will be required to submit fees and confirm their seats at the institute. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the admission offer, and the seat will be offered to a candidate on the waiting list.

  5. Submit the Letter of Reference to the referees (2) in the format provided in the application form.
  6. Create a Demand Draft of INR 2500/- for General candidates and INR 1250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates, in favor of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade payable at New Delhi.
  7. For foreign candidates, the application fee is US $120.
  8. Attach all the necessary documents required with the demand draft to the application form.
