Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies is a deemed to be university founded in 1981 by Shri S.P Mandal. The institute is based in Mumbai. Along with providing several UG and PG programmes in Management Studies, it also provides a range of other subjects such as engineering, law, liberal arts, etc.
The Institute provides several specialised MBA programmes which include courses such as Human Resource Management, Pharmaceutical Management, MBA in Law, Social Entrepreneurship, etc. Additionally, students willing to go into research have the option of pursuing the doctoral programme.
Faculty members play a very significant role in the development of NMIMS. Today the total number of faculty spread across Management programmes is over 68. The School of Business is headed by the eminent Dr Ramesh Bhat. The faculty members consist of some of the best industry experienced veteran educators such as Dr Mayank Joshipura of the Finance Department among others.
NMIMS Mumbai was ranked 21st out of all the management schools in India as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019. Business Today's "India's best B-schools 2016” ranked it 14th and Outlook India's "Top 100 Management Schools" of 2016 ranked it eighth in India.

- Narsee Monjee Mumbai offers five two-years full-time MBA programs - Marketing, HR, Pharmaceutical Management, Law and Analytics & Decision Science.
- The college offers two executive level MBA programs (EMBA) - Marketing and Pharmaceutical Management. Duration of these courses vary from 15 to 48 months.
- MBA (Part-Time) is available for both Marketing as well as Social Entrepreneurship streams. Both of them are two-year long part-time courses.
- The college also offer Ph.D to candidates who have master’s degree and want to pursue further.
- In addition to these mainstream course, NMIMS also offers additional certification courses including Diploma in Social Entrepreneurship, CRISIL Certified Analyst Programme and Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management (for Defence Officers).

NMIMS Admission Process
The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) was established by the SVKM Foundation in 1981. It is one of the top 10 management schools in the country.
Admission is conducted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test held by the deemed to be university followed by group discussion and personal interview rounds.
NMIMS Admission Highlights
- Admission to all the Two-Year Full-Time MBA Programs and MBA (Analytics & Decision Science) is done on the basis of marks scored in NMAT by GMAC.
- For admission to E-MBA or MBA Part Time courses, the candidate needs to appear either in NMAT by GMAC, GMAT or written test conducted by NMIMS.
- For rest of the courses written or aptitude tests are conducted by NMIMS. For CCAP, NMAT, CAT and XAT scores are also considered.
NMIMS Mumbai Placement
The Placement Cell at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies has two steps: the Summer Internship Placements for the first year students and the Final Placements for the second year students.
The MBA, MBA HR, MBA Pharmaceutical Management and the MBA Law batches record the best placement statistics among all the programmes.

NMIMS Results and cut-off
NMIMS offers its two-year MBA course in many streams. The courses are taught by the School of Business Management (SBM). The admission process to the MBA, MBA Banking and MBA Pharmaceutical Management is regulated on the basis of the candidate’s NMAT results, which is followed by the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
The Institute has sectional as well as an overall cutoff that the candidate has to clear in order to be promoted to the next round. The NMAT cutoff for a General candidate ranges between 200 to 220 out of a total of 360.

NMIMS Alumni Association
The Alumni Association at NMIMS is known for the close-knit connection that they maintain with their former students.
The organisation has an enormous database which maintains the addresses of all the members and helps the present students get in touch with their passed out seniors who, in turn, can help them form networks in the industry that they are going to graduate into.
NMIMS Scholarship
The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies provides scholarships for those who are either academically brilliant or with recorded achievements in fields such as sports or art. Scholarships are also provided to those facing economic limitations.
However, to avail the latter, the candidate has to submit their parents’ income tax returns to NMIMS. The IT return must show that their income is less than INR 6 lakhs, per annum else the scholarship would not be granted.
NMIMS Campus
The campus is located in the outskirts of Mumbai. It houses more than thousands of students and is famous for its A-grade infrastructure. The campus is very secure with onsite security personnel patrolling the boundaries.
There is provision for fire trucks and ambulances in case of an emergency. The whole area is under wifi coverage making it digitally accessible at all times.
The housing features are exemplary and hostels are available according to the candidate’s preference. There are provisions for AC as well as non-AC hostels with a range of choices. The sports and recreation facilities are state-of-the-art and transportation is easily availed.
