The University Grants Commission (UGC) approved Christ University is a private deemed to be university situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. With more than 18,000 students and over 800 faculty members, the university is considered to be the first indigenous Syrian Catholic religious congregation in India.

All the applicants are admitted to the university courses based on the marks scored in their qualifying degree, entrance examination or admission tests. Christ University Bangalore declares the cut-off list for its several courses and degrees once the results of their respective entrance examinations are out. The scholarship and assistantship programmes offered by Christ University to its students include the following:

  • Merit Scholarships: Candidates having a fee range up to INR10,000 will be given a 50% exemption, whose fees ranges from INR10,000 to INR 25,000 will be provided with a 25% concession and whose fee is greater than INR 25,000 will be offered a 10% refund of fee.
  • Financial Assistance: Students belonging to families having poor economic backgrounds can avail this scholarship.
  • The Alumni Association Scholarship provided by the University also assists economically weak scholars through the Alumni Fund.

Campus Facilities 

The Christ University library keeps a rich collection of about 2,85,595 books, 552 periodicals, 1,47,755 titles and subscription to 30 newspapers. It is a member of DELNET and the British Council Library. It has a subscription to around 250 Printed periodicals in various specializations.

The university provides hostel or lodging provisions for both boys and girls. The hostels for boys include the Jonas Hall and Block A, B, C Residence hall. The girls' hostels include the St. Kuriakose Elias Hall and CST Vidyabhavan.

Christ University Bangalore Campus has a Cricket ground, Table Tennis, Badminton courts, Football field and Basketball court.
