Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode Overview
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (abbreviated as, “IIM Kozhikode”) is an autonomous public funded business school located in Calicut, Kerala.
The institute was founded in 1996 by the Government of India in association with the State of Kerala as part of the Indian Institutes of Management initiative. IIM-K is fifth of the twenty IIMs across India.
IIM-K conducts an entire range of educational activities in the field of management academics. The subjects taught by the institute covers research, training and teaching along with intellectual infrastructural development and consultancy. The college focuses on the development of analytical skills along with an emphasis on globally cross-cultural issues.

IIM Kozhikode Course and Fee Structure
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode offers post-graduate level management education by means of three flagship programmes and two tertiary programmes.
There is a PG Programme, an Executive PG Programme and a Fellowship Programme. The fellowship research programme comes in two variants. Additionally, IIM-K also offers two development programmes.

IIM Kozhikode Admission Process
Being a reputed institute in India, IIM Kozhikode shortlists its candidates in a strenuous process. The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode conducts its admissions in two stages. In order to qualify for the first stage, the candidate must first clear the eligibility criteria.
Each course has a specific set. The next step is to clear the cutoff for the course’s particular entrance exam. Each course offered by IIM-K accepts the results of selected nation-wide aptitude tests.
Should the candidate be shortlisted in both of these rounds, they must then pass the final stage of the process, which is a personal interview conducted by the institution.
How to get into IIM Kozhikode?
- Admission to the PG Programme is based on the candidate’s performance in CAT (for domestic applications) or GMAT (for international applications).
- The Executive PG Programme admission process is curtailed by the applicant’s performance in EMAT, CAT or GMAT.
- The Fellowship Programme admission process is conditional on the candidate’s performance in CAT, GMAT, GRE or UGC JRF.
IIM Kozhikode Results and Cutoff
IIM Kozhikode has nearly 350 seats in its PG Programme every year. However, the applicants for these seats, number in the thousands. Consequently, IIM-K issues a very high cutoff percentile so as to ensure that only the best of the applicants are offered admission.
The cutoff percentile can be predicted on the basis of the cutoff trends from the last few years. The institute issues sectional cutoffs as well as an overall cutoff.
- The overall cutoff percentile to all the PG Diploma courses for General Category students is 90.

IIM Kozhikode Scholarship Programmes
There are 13 different scholarship programmes active at IIM-K. These programmes offer means of financial aid to the candidates who deserve it.
This factor is based on means-cum-necessity criteria. Usually, to apply in the majority of these scholarship programmes, a candidate needs to be from an economically challenged background (the gross annual family income must be less than INR 6 lakhs) as well as maintain an 8 CGPA grade.
There are many scholarships, which are provided by private sponsors. The private sponsors set up their own eligibility criteria.
IIM Kozhikode Campus
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode spans across 97 acres in Kochi, Kerala. The campus lies close to the metropolitan areas with all its facilities such as hospitals, departmental stores and recreation areas. The campus provides separate living accommodations for both men and women.
The institute offers all the infrastructural facilities that can be expected from a member of the IIM family. There are options for co-curricular, extra-curricular and a range of pedagogic activities.
