IIM Kozhikode Scholarships

IIM Kozhikode provides scholarships to deserving students in the form of Merit-Based and Need-Based Financial Assistance. Additionally, scholarships approved by the Central and State Governments are available, and various private organizations also offer financial support to eligible students.

IIM Kozhikode Scholarships

IIM Kozhikode Merit Scholarships

The IIM Kozhikode Merit Scholarship is granted to PGP students (including PGP, PGPLSM, and PGP FIN) in the 1st and 2nd years based on their academic performance over one academic year. The distribution of scholarships follows the ratio of one scholarship for every 20 students in both the 1st and 2nd years.

IIM Kozhikode Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA)

IIM Kozhikode Need-Based Financial Assistance is granted to students based on the financial score obtained through assessment. The Financial Aid Committee (FAC) conducts the evaluation process and prepares the scores.

Eligibility 

  • Students with an annual family income of INR 8 lakhs in the previous financial year are eligible to participate in the IIM Kozhikode NBFA programs.
  • Students who have obtained an education loan from scheduled commercial banks to finance their studies at the Institute are also eligible.

 

Scholarships offered by Central Government

Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, provides scholarships to SC students based on their annual parental income for the previous financial year.

The maximum income limit for eligibility is set at INR 8,00,000/-. A total of 10 scholarships are allocated to students as part of the IIM Kozhikode Scholarships.

National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, extends scholarships to ST students, considering their annual parental income from all sources for the preceding financial year.

The maximum income limit for eligibility is INR 6,00,000/-. There is no specific limit on the number of slots based on the institute, state, or stream.

Merit Cum Means Scholarships for Professional & Technical Courses CS

The Merit Cum Means Scholarships within the IIM Kozhikode Scholarships aim to offer financial assistance to minority students enrolled in technical and professional courses at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Eligibility 

Students must be part of one of the Minority communities, which include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis/Zoroastrians. Additionally, they should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in their most recent final examination. The annual family income from all sources should be less than INR 2.50 lakhs.

Scholarships for Top Class Education of Students with Disabilities (SwDs)

The Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities is introduced by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India. This scholarship aims to offer financial assistance to students undertaking studies at the undergraduate, postgraduate, or diploma level.

Eligibility

Students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, or diploma programs at recognized institutions of educational excellence, who have a disability of more than 40% along with a valid certificate to confirm it, are eligible. Additionally, students should have an annual family income of less than INR 6 lakh from all sources.

Scholarship Seats 

There are a total of 300 scholarships offered within the IIM Kozhikode Scholarships for Top-Class Education for Students with Disabilities.

Scholarships offered by State Government

Rajarshee Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship 

Provided by the Government of Maharashtra, this scholarship is available to students with domicile in Maharashtra or those residing on the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka and belonging to the Maratha community. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000/- from all sources.

Scholarship Scheme for Govt. of Tamil Nadu

Provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu, this scholarship is available to indigenous students affiliated with BC/MBC/DNC communities, with a maximum income limit set at INR 2,00,000/-.

Scholarships offered by Private Organizations 

IDFC First Bank MBA Scholarship

Students who secure merit-based admissions in B-schools and have an annual family income of less than INR 6 lakhs can seek this scholarship. Eligible applicants must be Indian residents studying in the first year of a two-year full-time MBA program. The scholarship amount is INR 1 lakh per student per academic year.

Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF) Scholarship

Conferred upon deserving students in the first and second year of the PGP with a combined family income of less than INR 8 lakhs, this scholarship grants INR 5,00,000/- per student based on interviews conducted by MAF for shortlisted candidates.

Aditya Birla Group Scholarship

The top 20 students from the first year are chosen based on the criteria set by the Aditya Birla Group. The scholarship is granted following a written test and interview conducted by the Aditya Birla Group. Recipients can continue to receive scholarship amounts in the second year if they rank among the top 25 students based on the first-year CGPA. INR 1,75,000/- per student is awarded as a scholarship per year.

OP Jindal Engineering & Management Scholarship (OPJEMS)

The scholarship is open to the top 10 students from the first and second year of the PGP, with selection based on criteria set by OP Jindal. INR 1,50,000/- per student is awarded as a scholarship per year.
