Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Udaipur Overview
The Indian Institute of Management in Udaipur was officially opened its door to start its journey in 2011. About two years ago of its opening, in 2009, the Government of India approved the proposal to open this institute. The IIM Udaipur was established as a part of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) group to provide a bright future to a pool of talents in India. Over fifty years, the IIMs have been providing excellence in the field of teaching, research and innovation, and others in the country.
At present, Udaipur IIM is serving its excellence under the guidance of Director Janat Shah and Chairperson Pankaj Patel. The institute currently offers a two-year long full-time MBA Program like others IIMs. Apart from the MBA, it also has a Post Graduate Program in Management for Executives (PGPX). At the higher education level, IIM Udaipur offers Fellow Program in Management.
IIM Udaipur ranking is 13th in the Management category according to the survey conducted by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Precisely, the ranking is given by the Government of India as NIRF was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Currently, IIMU is also holding the 1st position among the second generation IIMs. Over the last few years, it has taken place among the premier global B-schools and the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation made it possible.
At present, in IIMU there are 50 core IIM Udaipur faculty members who are from the reputed institutions of the country. IIM Udaipur Courses Offered and Fee Structure
The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur offers two types of post graduation courses in management, which are MBA or two years full-time Post-Graduate Program (PGP) and Post Graduate Program in Management for Executives (PGPX). The former is the flagship program of the IIMU while the later falls under the full partnership between the college and the popular Krannert School of Management at Purdue University in the United States. The PGP is offered in subjects like Business Policy and Strategy, Communication, Economics, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, Operations Management, Quantitative Methods and Information Systems. IIM Udaipur Course Highlights

IIM Udaipur Admission Process
Candidates are selected for the MBA or PGP on the basis of their scores in CAT examination, which is conducted by IIMs. For international candidates, they should have a valid GMAT/GRE score and a copy of IELTS/TOEFL score. To know more detail, candidates must log in to IIM Udaipur website.
- For full-time PGP or MBA, the evaluation process is done on the basis of the CAT score obtained by the candidates. Selected ones are called for Personal Appearance (PA) process, which consists of Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
- For PGPX, there are two stages of the admission process. First one is done at IIMU and the second stage is done at Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Skype interview is also available.
For FPM, a candidate can apply only one specialization among Operations Management, Marketing, Finance & Accounting and Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management. IIM Udaipur Placements
Being a reputed institute of the country, IIM Udaipur has maintained a good reputation in terms of providing placements to its students over the past years. The institute provides almost 100% placement records every year. The whole process is done by the institute in a phased manner. It has a Corporate Relations Team, which has some dedicated professionals who look after the recruitment process. Under the team, there are Placement committees for PGP and PGPX programs. The committee initiates all the interactions with the companies and a Relationship Manager is also assigned to contact each company.

IIM Udaipur Results and Cutoff
IIM Udaipur declares its cutoff every year after the CAT cutoff is declared. The candidates who have a valid score card of CAT and have scored above the cut off can get a seat in the institute.
It usually maintains high cutoff marks around 95 percentile. The cut off marks are different for different categories.

IIM Udaipur Alumni Network
IIM Udaipur maintains a strong relationship with its alumni. The college has an alumni community, which it claims is robust and consists of dynamic young professionals, who are making their successful career in their respective domain. There is a Corporate Relations Office, which provides all the possible supports and resources to the alumni. There is also an Incubation Centre that provides a range of support for entrepreneurs of IIMU. The alumni network also organizes chapter meets, which is known as ‘Adhyay,' which are the main place for the alumni to meet and greet each other every year.
IIM Udaipur Scholarship
There are several scholarship programs a candidate can find at IIMU. The institute runs a merit-cum-means based scholarship scheme for the students who belong to minority communities. The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Other than this, different schemes are available for the different range of students from SC/ST to Disabilities. Apart from these central government implemented schemes, IIM Udaipur also provides a scholarship program for the candidates from Rajasthan. This scheme is implemented by the Government of Rajasthan.
IIM Udaipur Campus Facility
About three years ago, IIM Udaipur campus has been shifted to Balicha, which is 8 km far from the old city. The IIM Udaipur new campus lies within 300 acres of space. The classroom, hostel, mess, library - all are provided within the campus and all are interconnected by a strong WLAN. The classrooms are designed according to the seating capacity. There are 40, 77 seater classrooms. The hostels are also designed as per the advanced plan. It has improved erosion protection, soil moisture plan. The library in the campus becomes a major part with full of important books, which help each student in every step of their education.
