With an impressive average placement package exceeding INR. 24 LPA, the institute offers excellent return on investment. The cost for its PGDM program is generally around INR. 11 LPA.
XLRI has successfully completed its placement process for the 2022 batch, achieving 100% placements with the participation of 99 recruiters, including 23 new recruiters. The highest salary package of INR 60+ LPA was offered by the BFSI sector, while the XLRI Jamshedpur Average Package and median salary packages stood at INR 30.73 LPA and INR 29 LPA, respectively. Moreover, 40.28% of the students received Pre-Placement Offers.
For the 2019-21 batch, XLRI released its placement report, with the highest salary package at INR 50 LPA, an average salary package of INR 25.08 LPA, and a median salary package of INR 23 LPA. A total of 108 recruiters participated, including 23 first-time recruiters, and 33.33% of the students received pre-placement offers.
Additionally, the institute successfully completed the summer internship placement process for the 2021-23 batch, with 127 offers being made in the consulting cohort. The highest stipend offered was INR 6.8 Lakhs for two months, while the average stipend stood at INR 1.28 Lakhs.

The students received 43.8% Pre-Placement Offers, with the highest international salary package standing at INR 1.1 CPA and the highest domestic salary package at INR 78.2 LPA. The XLRI Jamshedpur Average Package was INR 32.7 LPA, while the top 10% of students received an XLRI Jamshedpur average package of INR 57.7 LPA, and the top 25% received an average salary package of INR 46.8 LPA. The median salary package stood at INR 30 LPA. The XLRI Jamshedpur Placements drive saw the participation of 117 recruiters, including 30 new recruiters, with top recruiters such as Barclays, Emaar Properties, Indigo Edge, and Mercedes Benz.
XLRI Jamshedpur had also achieved a 100% placement record for the 2022 batch with the participation of 99 recruiters, including 23 new ones. Around 40.28% of the students received Pre-Placement Offers, while the highest CTC offered was INR 60 LPA, and the XLRI Jamshedpur Average Package and median CTC stood at INR 30.73 LPA and INR 29 LPA, respectively.
Furthermore, the institute has successfully achieved 100% placements for the outgoing batch of 2019-21 in its flagship programmes, PGDM Human Resource Management and PGDM Business Management, with all 358 candidates securing offers through the final recruitment process in just two days.

During XLRI’s Summer Internship Placements in 2024, a total of 103 recruiters extended 525 placement offers to 510 students. The highest stipend offered was INR 3.5 Lakhs per month, while the average and median stipend offered were INR 1.54 Lakhs and INR 1.50 Lakhs per month respectively. For the top 5%, 10%, 25%, and 50% of the batch, the average stipends offered were INR 2.35 Lakhs, INR 2.17 Lakhs, INR 2.02 Lakhs, and INR 1.85 Lakhs respectively.
XLRI concluded its Summer Internship Placement Drive for the batch 2021-23, in which a record-breaking number of 470 students participated.
In the Summer Internship Placements of 2023, the highest stipend offered was INR 6.8 Lakhs for two months by the BFSI sector. The average stipend offered increased by 5% YoY to INR 1.28 Lakhs, while the median stipend was INR 1.27 Lakhs. The top 10% and 25% of students were offered stipends of INR 1.82 Lakhs and INR 1.63 Lakhs respectively. The Consulting, Sales, and Marketing domains offered the highest number of roles, and companies such as Coca Cola, Asian Paints, P&G, ITC, and others participated in the drive.
