Candidates seeking admission to the MBA (PGP) programme at IIM Visakhapatnam must complete the following steps:

CAT Registration:
Applicants must register for the CAT exam and select IIM Visakhapatnam as a preferred institute while filling out the CAT application form. -

MBA Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the MBA (PGP) 2026 at IIM Visakhapatnam must:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA).

Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, subject to meeting the eligibility requirements at the time of admission.
MBA Selection Criteria
IIM Visakhapatnam follows a three-stage admission process for MBA admissions, comprising CAT-based shortlisting, Personal Interview (PI), and preparation of the final merit list.
Phase 1: Initial Shortlisting Based on CAT Scores

Candidates who selected Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam as a preference during CAT 2025 registration and meet the above cutoffs will receive an email (tentatively by the third week of January 2026) with a link to apply for admission to the PGP 2026–28 batch.
Phase 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)
For all Qualified Confirmed Candidates, a pre-PI composite score is calculated using the following components:

Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam Executive MBA Admission 2026
IIM Visakhapatnam offers a two-year Executive MBA (EMBA) programme designed for experienced working professionals. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and possess at least 3 years of full-time work experience. The programme is open exclusively to Indian nationals residing in India.
Executive MBA Selection & Admission Process 2026
Admission to the EMBA 2026–28 batch is conducted through a three-stage selection process, as outlined below:
Phase 1: Eligibility-Based Shortlisting
Candidates are shortlisted based on the details provided in the online application form and the supporting documents submitted. Only applicants who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria are considered for the next stage.
Phase 2: EMAT and Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) conducted by the institute.

IIM Visakhapatnam offers a one-year Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (EPGDPM) programme, specially designed for officers and executives working in the defence production ecosystem. The programme is delivered in a hybrid mode, enabling working professionals to balance academic learning with professional responsibilities.
EPGDPM Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfil all of the following requirements to be eligible for the EPGDPM programme:
