Admissions to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. programs are primarily based on national-level, university-level, or other institute-level entrance exams. Candidates' selection is determined by the following criteria:

For direct admissions to the MTech program, candidates should have qualified in one of the following exams:

• Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
• Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)
• Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET)
• Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET)

Non-GATE qualified students will be considered based on their academic records and performance in the interview.

Step 4: Pay the application fee, which is INR 500 (or INR 1,000 for MBA & M.Tech), using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Transfer. Alternatively, you can pay the fee by Demand Draft (DD) made in favor of 'Amrita School of Business,' payable at Coimbatore.

The university has a dedicated placement cell that coordinates various training sessions. Students who are eligible and opt for placements typically receive more than one job offer on average. The placement process is facilitated by strengthening the university's ties with industries through frequent visits, interactions with top management, and the facilitation of Faculty Development Programs, Student Visits, Industrial Training, and Project Guidance as part of the Corporate Action Plan.

In 2019, many of our students secured paid internships as an integral part of their PG program at renowned companies like Schlumberger, Microsoft, Intel, Daimler, and more. These internships typically last from six months to a year and often lead to direct job placements within these companies. The median internship stipend amounted to INR 25,000 per month, with the highest offered being INR 80,000 per month.
