Admission to SSN College of Engineering for B.E/B.Tech in 2023
SSN College of Engineering offers a four-year full-time B.E/B.Tech programme. To be eligible for these eight engineering specialisations, candidates must have completed 10+2 levels of education.
Candidates with sporting accomplishments and who have represented their countries at the national and international levels are also encouraged to apply. They must have certificates proving their accomplishments.
Students who are the children of PIOs, Foreign Nationals, or NRIs are also eligible to apply, provided they have completed their 10+2 level of education or equivalent. If the candidate has not completed 10+2 through CBSE medium, they must produce a certificate proving the board and qualifying examination equivalence.
Candidates from the PIO/FN category must bring the following documents when applying for the programme:
- Attested copy of the candidate’s valid passport
- A copy of a valid Visa and OCI card that has been attested.
- The Association of Indian Universities issued an equivalence certificate.
- Evidence of having completed the required qualifying subjects in English
The following documents are required for NRI candidates:
- One of the parents’ NRI status certificate
- The foreign employer issued an employment certificate to the financial supporter.
- Relationship certificate and attested copy of NRI financial supporter’s valid Indian passport
- Attested copy of NRE (Non-Resident External) bank account statement for the last three months
Candidates will be chosen based on merit and marks obtained in 10+2 exams, as well as Q marks obtained in Mathematics (M), Physics (P), and Chemistry (C): The formula for calculating Q marks is provided below.
Q = M + ((P+C) / 2), where M, P, and C are percentage marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
All admissions are handled in accordance with Anna University’s policies. Students can obtain an application form from the college website in order to apply. The application will be submitted online.
Candidates must fill out application forms and submit them online, along with application fees. For admission, candidates must participate in TNEA counselling.

TNEA Counselling is available online. Based on TNEA scores, the counselling authority will publish a list of candidates who can participate in the counselling rounds.
In order to participate in the counselling, candidates must also pay a fee. The counselling fee can be paid online via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
After successfully paying the fee, candidates can begin applying to SSN College for their desired engineering branch. After filling out the options in decreasing order of preference, candidates must lock their selections using the same login.
Candidates cannot change their selections once they have been locked. If the candidates select the options but are unable to lock them, it will be locked automatically.
Following that, several rounds of counselling will take place. Candidates who have been assigned must download the allotment letter and proceed to SSN College of Engineering. This allocation will be based on rank and available seats.
When they arrive at the college, they must pay the final admission fee. The documents listed below must be carried by candidates for verification with originals and photocopies during counselling and reporting at college.
- 10th Mark Sheet
- HSC Mark Sheets and Pass Certificates
- Transfer Certificate
- Permanent Community Certificate for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM (either Permanent card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate)
- Nativity Certificate (only in electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) (if applicable)
- Income certificate (if applicable)
- First Graduate Certificate (only in electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) and First Graduate Joint Declaration (if applicable)
- Srilankan Tamil Refugee certificate (if applicable)
