The Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) Pune, established by Bharati Vidyapeeth in 1978, is a renowned Business School located in the western part of India. It is one of the 29 constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). IMED Pune holds an 'A+' grade accreditation from NAAC and has been awarded 'Category – I' University status by UGC. The institute offers BBA, BCA, and MBA programs based on BUMAT, BCAT, and BMAT scores, followed by GD and PI.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell at IMED conducts various activities and skill development programs that provide a platform for students to learn and enhance their entrepreneurial skills. These programs assist students in preparing business plans and shaping innovative business ideas. IMED has established collaborations with universities and institutions to leverage their competencies. The institute has partnered with MCCIA for joint workshops, conferences, and skill-building initiatives, Linnaeus University in Sweden for joint projects and faculty exchange, Curtin University for international conferences, IUBAT in Bangladesh for research and projects, as well as various business companies for student internships and joint projects.
In the year 2020, more than 150 companies participated in the placement drive at IMED Pune, resulting in 239 students securing placements through the campus placement process. Prominent recruiters visiting the campus include ICICI Bank, TCE, Kanbay, Kirloskar Group, Galaxy Project, Amazon, ITC, Reliance Industries Ltd, and many others.
