Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB) is affiliated with Symbiosis International University. Located in Pune, SIIB offers MBA programs in various specialisations, including International Business, Agri-Business, and Energy and Environment. The flagship program is the MBA in International Business (MBA-IB). The institute has a total of 210 seats available for its MBA programs, with 120 seats allocated for MBA-IB, 60 for MBA-AB, and 30 for MBA-E&E. Admission to the MBA programs at SIIB is based on the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), followed by the GE-PI-WAT process, which consists of Group Exercise, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test.

SIIB MBA Admission 2024

SIIB provides specialised MBA programs spanning two years, including MBA in International Business (IB), MBA in Agri-Business (AB), and MBA in Energy and Environment (E&E). The intake capacity for MBA (IB) is 120, while it is 60 for MBA (AB) and 30 for MBA (E&E).

Moreover, the MBA – IB program offers four specialisations:

  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Human Resource

SIIB MBA Eligibility

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade (45% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Final-year students are eligible to apply, but their admission will be provisional, contingent upon achieving a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade (45% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility for Foreign/NRI Candidates 

  • Applicants for postgraduate programs should have achieved a qualifying grade of over 60% in their undergraduate studies.
  • They are required to have taken an English Proficiency Test administered by the British Council (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6, or the IELA Test with a minimum band of 3.
  • Foreign candidates, as well as NRI/PIO/OCI applicants, must possess a valid passport and visa.

NOTE – 

  • Candidates who have obtained a qualifying degree from a Foreign University must acquire an equivalence certificate from AIU.
  • Before applying for provisional admission, candidates must ensure they meet the necessary qualifications.
  • Students with any backlogs or who have failed in their final results will not meet the eligibility criteria for admission.

SIIB MBA Selection Criteria

  • Candidates achieving a satisfactory score in the SNAP test undergo shortlisting by the Symbiosis Institute of International Business.
  • Following shortlisting, candidates participate in the GE-PI-WAT process for further evaluation.
  • The GE-PI-WAT process occurs at the SIIB Pune campus.
  • Final selection is determined by combining SNAP test scores with performance in the GE, PI, and WAT rounds.
  • Selected candidates receive acceptance notification via email from the institute.

  • Entrance Test (SNAP/GMAT) holds 10% weightage.

  • Two Letters of Recommendation account for 5% weightage.

  • Applicants under the NRI category are exempted from the English Proficiency Test (IELA/IELTS Examination).

Selection Criteria For FN/PIO/OCI Students:

  • Graduation Transcripts carry 90% weightage.

  • Statement of Purpose contributes 5% weightage.

  • Two Letters of Recommendation account for 5% weightage.

  • Applicants as FN/PIO/OCI are required to take the English Proficiency Test (IELTS/IELA examination).

NOTE – 

  • Upon receiving the pre-offer letter, Foreign National students must remit the application fee along with the administrative fee.
  • Original document verification will be conducted during the admission process.
  • NRI students with SNAP or GMAT scores will receive an additional weightage of 10%.

Candidates aspiring to apply for admission to SIIB Pune must follow a two-step process, beginning with registration for the SNAP test followed by registration for the MBA course. The application steps are outlined below:
