    XLRI, Jamshedpur conducts XAT yearly in the month of January. The official XAT exam date and other important notifications are yet awaited. But if keep XAT 2019 important dates in mind the details are expected to be out in the month of August. The registration process will also start in the same month.

    What is XAT 

    Xavier Aptitude Test commonly known as XAT is an MBA entrance exam organized by Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XLRI offers the management courses for different streams like Business Management, General Management Programme, Global Business Management, Human Resource Management.

    It is the second largest enrollment exam for MBA/PGDM after CAT. It is among the toughest MBA entrance exams in India. It is conducted at nearly 47 test centres and cities across the country. Apart from this, it is also conducted at two international centres – Kathmandu in Nepal and Dubai in UAE.

    Till 2016, XAT was conducted in the offline mode (that is, pen-paper test) but from 2017 it is conducted in online mode.

    XAT 2020 Important Dates: XAT Exam Date and other important notifications

    The exam cycle is quite long and begins in the month of August with the start of online registration process on official website www.xatonline.in. Candidate has to keep in mind all the important dates related to XAT examination 2020 that are – XAT admit card date, XAT exam date and XAT Result date.

    As the final dates are yet not announced let us analyse the trends which are usually followed by XAT authorities.  Let us have a look on XAT exam dates of previous years

    XAT 2016 exam date – 3rd January 2016

    XAT 2017 exam date – 8th January 2017

    XAT 2018 exam date – 7th January 2018

    XAT 2019 exam date – 6Th January 2019

    What’s New in XAT Exam?

    XLRI, Jamshedpur introduced a major change in the XAT exam pattern in 2019. Essay writing section was removed from the paper. The XAT 2020 question paper will consist of questions from Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge, only.

    There is no one section important in XAT exams. All the sections need equal importance as candidate needs to clear all the sectional cut offs to clear the examination. Clearing Sectional cut-off is mandatory. nd here a proper tab on time is a must. Regular practice of mock tests is essential for better performance in Verbal and Logical Ability Section. Candidate should focus on both current and static GK.
