XAT Result 2024
The XAT Result is made available in the form of a scorecard, which candidates can retrieve from the official website. The XAT scorecard includes the candidate’s overall and sectional scores, along with their percentile.
XAT is an MBA entrance exam conducted by XLRI, a premier management institute in India. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) was conducted on January 7, 2024.
One must take out a coloured printout of the admit card for further processes.
The tentative result date for the XAT 2024 entrance test are expected to be conducted until the last week of January 2024. Checking the results requires login using the credentials at the respective website.
Getting a decent score involves properly analyzing the syllabus, paper pattern, difficulty level and previous year papers.
- After XAT results are declared, XLRI will release section-specific XAT Cut Offs for its three management programs: Business Management, Human Resource Management, and General Management.
- The General Knowledge section’s XAT result doesn’t factor into the overall percentile calculation for the XAT merit list; its relevance lies in the Personal Interview round.
- Candidates clearing the XAT Cut Off criteria will progress to subsequent selection rounds, including GD, WAT, and PI.
- Due to the absence of a unified admission selection process by XLRI, applicants must independently apply to their desired institutes, submitting XAT scorecards and other necessary documents.
How to View XAT Result 2024?
The XAT Result 2024 will be accessible on the official website. Exam takers can check their XAT Result online by visiting xatonline.in and following these steps:

Step 2: Log in using your XAT ID and the password provided during registration.
Step 3: View your XAT scorecard, displaying both the overall and sectional percentiles.
Step 4: Click on the “Download XAT Score Card” link.
Step 5: Save the scorecard in PDF format.
XAT 2024 Scorecard
The XAT Results 2024 will be shown in a scorecard, which is like a report card. It has important information like your name, application number, and how well you did in each part of the XAT 2024 exam. Keep the XAT scorecard safe because it’s crucial. The scores you get will decide if you move forward in the selection process for the colleges you applied to. The original XAT Scorecard will be sent to your home address.
In XAT result or scorecard, you will find:

- How long your XAT scorecard is valid

- Your scores in different sections (Quantitative Ability, Decision Making, and Verbal)

Note: Your XAT Result percentile is based on your scores in Quantitative Ability, Decision Making, and Verbal sections. Your scores in the General Knowledge section won’t be used to calculate your overall percentile, so they won’t affect your position on the XAT 2024 merit list.
How to Determine XAT 2024 Score?
The XAT score for each candidate is figured out using the raw score they get. The percentage or percentile for the General Knowledge (GK) section is calculated separately and is not added to the total percentage or percentile. The XAT 2024 score is calculated based on the following rules:
- Number of Questions: 100
- Marks for Every Correct Answer: +1
- Marks Deducted for Every Wrong Answer: -0.25
- Marks Deducted for Unattempted Questions: -0.10 for each question after the eighth unattempted question
No marks are taken off for wrong answers in the XAT GK section.
XAT Answer Key and Response Sheet 2024
Before the final XAT result is published, the organisers of the exam will release the XAT 2024 Response Sheet and Answer Key.
Once available, candidates can download their response sheet, which includes the list of answers they provided during the exam.
The XAT Answer Key consists of the correct answers for all the questions and can also be downloaded from the official website using login credentials.
Candidates can utilise the answer key and response sheet to calculate their XAT Score. If there are any incorrect answers in the released answer key, candidates have the option to challenge it.
The XAT 2024 Answer Key serves as a reference to check responses against the XAT Response Key and allows candidates to raise objections if needed.
What Comes After XAT Result 2024?
Following the announcement of the XAT result, XLRI will publish cut-offs specific to each course. Candidates must complete the form on the official website to participate in the subsequent selection rounds. The selection rounds, including GD, PI, and WAT, are conducted for admission to over 160 colleges accepting XAT 2024 scores.
Candidates will receive email notifications about their GD/PI schedule. Shortlisted candidates will need to update their city preferences for the interview and submit required documents. They must book interview slots and upload self-profile assessments and videos. As XLRI does not conduct a common selection process, the counseling procedure varies for each college.
Some of India’s top-ranked institutes that accept XAT results include XLRI, IMT, XIMB, and TAPMI. The final interview list of shortlisted candidates for XLRI admission is expected to be released in the second week of May 2024. Candidates who successfully clear the final round will apply to XAT institutes. The final selection will be based on XAT results/scores, GD/PI performance, and overall academic background.
