SSC CGL 2019 Registration/Application Process

SSC CGL 2019 Registration

Application for SSC CGL can only be made in online mode via the official website – ssconline.nic.in. The SSC CGL Applications for 2018 were closed on 5th June 2018.

How to Apply for SSC CGL 2019 Exam Online

Step 1: Open SSC Application Portal

Candidates must apply online via the website www.ssconline.nic.in. The link for SSC Applications Portal is mentioned below. Kindly select the CGL tab after following the link.

Note: Candidates who have already registered (if you already possess an SSC Reg, ID and Password) can skip Steps 2 to 5 and can directly log into the SSC Online system and proceed to fill up the SSC CGL Application Form.

Step 2: Read Exam Notice and Proceed to Registration Form

Candidates should read instructions as stated in the SSC CGL Notice of Examination 2018 before filling up the SSC CGL Online Registration Form.

After reading the instructions, candidates can proceed to Registration and fill up the online Registration Form.

Step 3: Fill in Registration Form

If you receive an on-screen notification saying “Log-In to Apply”, register as a New User via the SSC Homepage.

  • To do this, candidates must fill in basic information about self such as name, DoB, educational details etc.
  • Additional Details and Contact Details may also be required.
  • Candidates are advised to keep handy all relevant educational/identification documents for entering details.

Confirm and check all details before clicking on “Submit Form.”

Step 4: Note Down SSC Registration ID/Password

On submission of the Registration Form, SSC Registration ID and password will be made available. Note down the SSC Registration ID and password as this would be your permanent Reg. ID & Password to apply for any Recruitment Examination conducted by the SSC.

Step 5: Document Upload

Next, candidates must upload their latest coloured passport photograph and signature as per following specifications –

Photograph ( in JPG Format) Digital size of the scanned photograph must be more than 4 KB and less than 20 KB
Signature (in JPG Format) Digital size of the scanned signature must be more than 1 KB and less than 12 KB

The Registration will be considered complete only after the photograph and signature are uploaded by the candidate.

After completion of the Registration, the candidates should proceed to fill up the Online Application Form for the specific exam ie SSC CGL.

Step 6: Fill Application Form

Candidates who have already registered can skip Steps 2 to 5 and can directly log into the system using SSC Registration ID and Password and proceed to fill up the Application Form.

After filling all details, verify carefully as no edits are allowed after “Submit.” An application once submitted is considered final.

Editing One-Time Registration Details

Candidates are to note that certain details such as name, father’s and mother’s name, date of birth, gender and 10th/12th roll number can be edited ONLY ONCE after SSC One-time Registration. Hence, it is advised to fill in these details carefully and make the necessary one-time edit before applying for relevant exam.

Other details can be edited multiple times before submitting application form per exam. However, once you submit the application form for a particular exam, those details are locked and not open for editing further.

Step 7: Fee Payment

After “Submit Application Form”, candidate is required to complete fee payment for categories applicable.

Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa/ Mastercard/ Maestro Credit/ Debit card. There is also provision for payment by SBI Challan.

The Cutoff Date for offline payment and Challan generation may vary so candidate is advised to complete payment within stipulated time.

Application Fee Rs. 100/-

Mode of Payment

SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard or Maestro Credit or Debit card.

Exemption from Fee Payment

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
