NEET UG 2024 Cutoff

The maximum marks for NEET exam are 720 all the candidates need to score the minimum cutoff to qualify the examination. Central board of secondary education will prepare all India merit list of successful candidates and display it online on the website in accordance with the criteria provided by the medical council of India and dental council of India.

The CBSE will prepare a merit list of all successful candidates all India for the exam of 2024 as the eligibility criteria provided by the medical council of India in association with the dental council of India under the medical council act 1956 and the BDS course regulations 2007 issued under the Dentists act 1948.

For the eligibility to admission for MBBS or BDS courses it is very important that the candidate has crossed the minimum criteria of percentage of marks which is 50th percentile in case of open category candidates 40th percentile in case of scheduled caste scheduled tribes and other backward classes and in case of physically handicapped open category students it should be 45th percentile and in case of reserved category physically handicapped it will be 40th percentile.

When enough number of candidates in the respective categories do not secure the minimum criteria prescribed by the entrance examination authority the central government along with a medical council of India and dental council of India may at its discretion lower the minimum marks for the course and that will be applicable only to the particular academic year. The other is ability criteria will be the candidate should have passed physics chemistry biology or biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained minimum 50% off marks put together in the qualifying examination. In case of reserved category, the candidate must have passed all the above-mentioned subjects with a minimum of 40% of aggregate marks. In case of two or more candidates have exactly equal marks then the candidates having highest mark in biology will be preferred, then the candidates with highest in chemistry and then the candidates with least number of attempted wrong answers. If there is still a tie, then the older candidate will be preferred.
