About College

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (abbreviated, LBSIM) is a business school located in Dwarka, New Delhi. The institution was established by the “Lal Bahadur Shastri Educational Trust” in 1995. Since its inception, the institute has come to be known as one of the most exclusive business schools in the country.

LBSIM Delhi offers a General Post Graduate Diploma in Management as well as specialised courses should the candidate be willing to pursue a more niche subject. These are three such specialisations. Additionally, the college offers a Masters in Computer Applications programme as well as an Executive PGDM and a Part Time PGDM programme.

The institution is directed by Deepak K Srivastava and prides itself on having an experienced and successful faculty. The faculty members are known to be on amicable terms with the students. The faculty members include such influential figureheads in the world of management such as Dr Rashmi Sharma, Dr GL Sharma, Dr Anil Kanungo and Dr Shivani Bali.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), Delhi was ranked 47th on a national scale of business schools around the country by the public establishment, National Institutional Ranking Framework. The LBSIM ranking helps it in growing as an esteemed organization in the country. The PGDM General and Finance courses are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation while also having had equivalence granted to them by the Association of Indian Universities.

LBSIM Course and Fee Structure

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management LBSIM offers a General Post Graduate Diploma along with options for Finance, Research & Business Analytics and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. Provisions are also provided for an Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management as well as a Part-Time PGDM programme. Additionally, the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), New Delhi has a Masters of Computer Application programme as well as three minor certification programmes in Public Policy & Social Change, Risk Management, Capital Market, and Entrepreneurship.

LBSIM Admission

The Lal Bahadur Institute of Management (LBSIM) counts itself to be among one of the top 50 business schools in India and as such, it practices a strenuous admission process. Entrance to all the PGDM courses other than the Part-Time PGDM course is regulated on the basis of the applicant’s performance in CAT (for domestic candidates) or GMAT (for international candidates). On the other hand, Part-Time PGDM course is conditional upon the candidate’s performance in the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview rounds. The MCA applications are conditional on the candidate’s performance in CET.

  • All the PG Diploma programme applications except those of the Part-Time programme are shortlisted based on CAT or GMAT scores.
  • The Part-Time PG Diploma programme shortlists applications based on their performances in the group discussion and interview conducted by the institute.
  • MCA admissions are made based on the candidate’s score in CET conducted by GGSIPU.

LBSIM Results and Cutoff

The LBSIM New Delhi PGDM applicants are shortlisted depending upon their performances in group discussion and personal interview rounds. Selected candidates are called for having LBSIM GD PI experience on the basis of their scores in the CAT or GMAT examinations. These entrance exams are generally held in the month of November or December. The ultimate admission results are declared by the end of April. The MCA candidates are required to take CET that also takes place in the same period.

  • The cutoff percentile for CAT in 2018 was 84.
  • The cutoff rank range for CET was between 167 and 526.

LBSIM Placements

For the last few years, Lal Bahadur Institute of Management LBSIM Delhi has been successful in achieving high levels of placement records with its students. With the 2017-2019 batch, the college achieved 100% success in its placement process. Students from the various PGDM batches have been placed in multiple sectors including Consulting & Research, BFSI, IT, etc. A sum total of 240 students participated in the campusing drive and each one of them got placed with one of the 109 companies making job offers.

LBSIM Scholarships

LBSIM college is one of the best business colleges in India and one of its founding beliefs is to provide equal opportunities in education for all. Consequently, the institute provides financial support for the candidates who cannot afford the cost. It offers scholarship programmes to the students admitted to the PGDM General and Finance courses in their first and second years. The scholarships have a merit-cum-means criterion and are only awarded to the students shortlisted on a weighted aggregate of their academic performance and family income.

LBSIM Campus

The LBSIM campus lies sprawled across 103 acres at Dwarka, near New Delhi. The campus consists of student and faculty hostel accommodation, academic blocks, an enormous library, administrative offices, an auditorium, four management development centres for teaching the certification courses, sports and recreation facilities, multiple restaurants, cafes and food outlets along with merchandise shops.
