Admission

LBSIM ADMISSION PROCESS 

LBSIM seeks admission to the PGDM (General), PGDM (Financial Management), PGDM (Research and Business Analytics), PGDM (E-Business) and PGDM (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) programmes through a rigorous selection process comprising scores from competitive examinations like CAT, XAT OR GMAT, followed by Group Discussion, Written Ability Test/Extempore and Personal Interview. Students are selected by a group of experienced faculty members and industry experts. This enables the Institute to select candidates from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.

  • Application Fees: 2000+ 18% GST+ 2% Payment Charges = Rs. 2416/-

Eligibility

  • Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply. However, such candidates must submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent, based on the latest available grades/marks. The deadline for submission of the mark sheet and the certificate is October 15 every year. Non-fulfilment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
  • Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for shortlisting by LBSIM. Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.
  • All candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs in the month of November/ December every year or XAT 2022 will be conducted on Sunday, January 2, 2022. XLRI conducts XAT Exam every year or should have a valid GMAT score. (Students are required to update their CAT/XAT score in their respective form after the declaration of results)
  • Foreign students, PIO and NRI sponsored candidates are also eligible and are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) at a test centre outside India.
  • Indian residents who have appeared for GMAT will be required to furnish their GMAT scores while applying and should provide an attested copy of the GMAT score sheet to the Admission Office for verification at the time of personal interview. GMAT scores without the above document will not be accepted and the application may be summarily rejected

Selection Process

  • Candidates are short-listed based on valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, prior academic performance, work experience, and other information disclosed in the Application form. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Extempore/Written Analysis Test and Personal Interview which is held during the month of February to March, every year.

How to Apply

  • Besides registering for CAT/XAT/GMAT, candidates are also required to register with LBSIM, Delhi through a separate Application Form which will be available along with Information Brochure.
  • The Information Brochure containing the Application Form is available with the Admission Coordinator, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi on all working days between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm at LBSIM Dwarka Campus, on payment of Application Fees of Rs.1,250/- in cash or by Demand Draft starting from September onwards.
  • Candidates can apply Online also at – https://forms.lbsim.ac.in
  • For online application submission, candidates need to pay Rs. 1,250/- either through Credit/Debit card/ Net Banking Or UPI.

Interview Centres

  • WAT/Extempore, Group Discussion and Personal Interview would be conducted at the following centres: Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Ahmedabad, Indore, and Thiruvananthapuram. GD/PI centre can be changed by the Institute at its discretion. Candidates are required to select one centre for GD/PI at the time of applying for registration with LBSIM

The likely dates/schedule will be as follows:

  • WAT/Extempore, Group Discussion and Personal Interview: February to March
  • Announcement of WAT/Extempore, GD & PI results, and release of admission list: 1st week of April.
  • Closing of admission: May/June month * (*As per AICTE Academic Calendar)

Admission Offer

Successful candidates will be intimated of their final selection in the month of April. The result will also be uploaded on LBSIM’s website. LBSIM will not accept any responsibility for non-receipt of any admission communication by way of loss during transit or otherwise. All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
