BCECE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are pointers that you need to tick off your list one by one. They are set of criteria that the candidate needs to satisfy to be able to appear for this examination. The criteria include minimum educational qualification, qualifying marks, qualifying subjects, nativity, age and year of applying.

  • Qualification:

The students need to have passed 12th standard. This must be in the format of 10th + 2 years. The students who have given their boards in standard 10th and then further studied and appeared for 12th boards are eligible to apply for this examination.

  • Qualifying Marks:

It is important that the candidates willing to appear for BCECE examination need to have passed with a minimum percentage of marks. They need to secure a minimum of 45 percentages to be eligible to appear for this examination. If a student has secured a score below the said percent, he/she will not be able to appear for this particular examination.

  • Qualifying Subjects:

The students must have opted for subjects related to science stream. These include subjects like physics, chemistry and biology (PCB) or physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM). The students need to have studied these subjects and appeared for the respective examination in 10th + 2 format of education.

  • Age Limit:

Thankfully, there is no minimum or maximum age that the candidate needs to have to appear for this particular state level examination. Candidates of all age group may appear for BCECE Examination.

  • Nativity:

The candidates need to be a native of the state of Bihar. This examination is conducted in Bihar only, by the Bihar State Education Board. It is also valid for admissions in the engineering colleges of Bihar.
