BCECE stands for Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam. This exam is conducted once in every year for candidates who wish to secure admissions in various engineering programs. This examination is conducted only for persons who are native to Bihar and wish to study engineering in Bihar. Like every year, this examination will also be conducted in 2019. If you wish to pursue engineering and appear for this examination, it is necessary that you prepare yourself well in advance. This examination is conducted in both English and Hindi. This is to ensure that students who are not familiar with English can also appear for this particular examination and that not knowing English does not come in their way of studying engineering.

BCECE 2019 Exam Date

There are various stages through which the candidate needs to pass in order to appear for the examination. These stages are filling the form, payment of application fees, issue of admit card, allocation of centres and the day of examination. Even after having appeared for the examination, the candidate needs to at least have a rough idea as to when he/she will receive the results. The above date line is tentative. For confirmed dates, the candidates will have to keep checking online. However, the above dates are the estimated days on which the examination and the events that follow and precede the exam will take place. As we can see above, the application form will be released in the month of March. The students get an opportunity to edit the details of their personal information even after the last day of registration. This is unlike other government exams where once the candidate fills the form, he/she does not get a chance to edit/alter any details.

After the results are announced, the candidates who pass shall be eligible to appear for counselling. The sessions take place over a span of a number of days, as we can see in the table above.

BCECE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are pointers that you need to tick off your list one by one. They are set of criteria that the candidate needs to satisfy to be able to appear for this examination. The criteria include minimum educational qualification, qualifying marks, qualifying subjects, nativity, age and year of applying.

  • Qualification:

The students need to have passed 12th standard. This must be in the format of 10th + 2 years. The students who have given their boards in standard 10th and then further studied and appeared for 12th boards are eligible to apply for this examination.

  • Qualifying Marks:

It is important that the candidates willing to appear for BCECE examination need to have passed with a minimum percentage of marks. They need to secure a minimum of 45 percentages to be eligible to appear for this examination. If a student has secured a score below the said percent, he/she will not be able to appear for this particular examination.

BCECE 2019 Registration

If you find yourself having met all the above criteria for appearing for this paper, you are eligible to apply. You can proceed to fill the application form and register yourself for the examination. The registration process is an online process. This makes it convenient for the students because now they can fill their application form from their own house and need not stand in long queues to collect the form and then again queue up to submit the same. The computer also scrutinizes the data that is entered and this eliminates the slightest chance of discrepancy or mistake. In case the candidate needs to update a detail subsequently, he/she also has the option for the same after the last day of application has passed.

  • Application Process:

  1. The Candidates must fill their personal details like name, address, contact number, etc and register themselves. After they have entered all the information and their registration is successful, the site will generate registration number that is unique and different for every applicant.
  2. The candidates must use this registration number to log in to admission portal. They will be required to enter the registration number and password in the fields allotted by the site.
  3. Now that they have successfully logged in, the candidates must fill all the necessary details. These details will be regarding their educational qualification, marks secured in previous exams, address of communication, personal details, contact information, email ID, etc.

BCECE 2019 Admit Card

One can get the admit card from the official website in the third week of April 2019. It will be available for candidates who have successfully registered themselves for the examination. It is mandatory that the candidates carry their admit card to the examination hall. Without which, the candidates shall not be allowed to appear for examination. The candidates will be required to sign on the admit card. The invigilator will check the card and then let the candidate write the paper.

BCECE 2019 Result

After the examination, all students have high expectations about the results that will be announced. The examination is very important to all those who appear for it and thus the day of the result is the most anticipated day. The results depend upon a lot of factors. Right from how you have prepared to how you well you have answered the questions. Since the examination has a system of negative marks, the number of wrong answers also account.

Results are announced online. The list will be issued in the form of roll numbers. The merit list will consist the roll numbers of candidates who have successfully qualified the entrance exam. BCECE Cutoff

The cut off of 2019 BCECE will be the minimum score or ranks which the candidates are required to secure if they wish to secure admission in B.Tech degree programs in the institutes that participate in BCECE. The higher the marks secured, the better chances you have to secure admission in the institute of your choice.
