SSC CPO 2019 Syllabus

The candidates need to know about the syllabus and the topics for the exam are divided into four subjects. The candidates must remain updated about the latest syllabus before appearing for the exam. The syllabus will help the candidate in preparing for the exam in a systematic manner. The students must go through the detailed analysis of the sections to build a proper strategy for scoring high in the exam.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

Analogies, spatial orientation, judgement, discrimination, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, coding and decoding, similarities and differences, problem solving, decision making, observation, arithmetic number series, statement conclusion, space visualization, analysis, visual memory, relationship concepts, relationship concepts, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning.

General knowledge and General awareness

General awareness of the environment around its application to society, history (ancient, medieval, modern), economic scene (Indian economy), Indian constitution, current affairs, geography (physical, world), general polity(Indian polity), scientific research(chemistry, biology, Physics), static GK(important books, days, awards and arts and culture)

Quantitative aptitude

Whole numbers, decimals, percentage, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, discount, partnership business, time and distance, time and work, graphs and linear equations, bar diagram and pie chart, triangle and its various kinds of centres, triangle, regular polygons, circle, right circular cone, right circular cylinder, hemispheres, rectangular parallelepiped, trigonometric ratio, degree and radian measures, complementary angles, heights and distances, frequency polygon, fractions and relationship between numbers, square roots, profit and loss, basic algebraic identities of school algebra and elementary surds,  mixture and allegation, quadrilaterals, congruence and similarity of triangles, sphere, right prism, standard identities, regular right pyramid with triangular or square base, circle and its chords,  histogram, targets, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles.

English comprehension

Spot the error, fill in the blanks, idioms and phrases, synonyms/homonyms, antonyms, spellings/ detecting misspelt words, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active and passive of verbs, conversion into direct and indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage, comprehension passage.
