Nationality and Domicile

The candidate must be an Indian citizen. The following applicants are considered Maharashtra State domicile candidates:

• Candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra or were born in Maharashtra.

• Candidates whose father or mother is domiciled in Maharashtra and possesses a valid Domicile Certificate.

• Candidates whose parent is an employee of the Government of India or a Government of India undertaking (PSU) and is posted and reporting for duty in Maharashtra.

• Candidates whose parents are employees or retired employees of the Government of Maharashtra or a Maharashtra Government undertaking (PSU).

• Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC from a disputed Maharashtra–Karnataka border area, or from Maharashtra, residing in the disputed border area, and whose mother tongue is Marathi.

• Candidates belonging to a notified linguistic or religious minority community of Maharashtra, as specified by the Government.
