Alagappa University Admission Process

All the applicants are admitted to the university courses based on the marks scored in their qualifying degree, entrance examination or admission tests. Candidates need to score above a specified mark in these exams to get admitted to a particular course or discipline. 

• For the B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed courses, admission is based on the performance in Medical Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Game Test Marks.
• Admission to the B.Ed programme is based on marks obtained in the entrance test.
• For the MBA and MCA degree, admission is based on the marks scored in the Entrance Test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
• For the M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology courses, admission is based on performance in Entrance Test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
• For the PhD admissions, candidates are selected on the basis of performance in written test and personal interview.
• For the M.Phil admissions, candidates are selected on the basis of performance in the entrance test.
• Admission to all other UG, PG and PG Diploma programmes is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Alagappa University declares the cut-off list for its several courses and degrees once Alagappa University result for their respective entrance examinations is calculated.

Alagappa University Campus Facilities

The library at Alagappa University keeps a rich collection of about one lakh volumes of printed books, 492 items of non-book materials, over 6242 numbers of online journals and more than 1,31,000 e-theses. It is subscribed to 149 printed periodicals out of which 1,446 volumes are in printed format.

The university provides hostel or lodging provisions for both boys and girls. It has a total of 15 hostels which altogether consists of 427 rooms. The hostel buildings can accommodate a total of 1,200 students.

The university has a Badminton Court, Basketball Court, Cricket Ground, Football Ground, Tennis Court, Throw ball Court, Volleyball Court, Tennikoit Court, Kho-Kho Court, Kabaddi Court, three Handball Fields, four Hockey Fields and an Athletics Track.
