The XAT 2020 application process is anticipated to begin from August third week 2019. Until November end you can apply without late charge and until December second week you can apply with the late expense. The applicants meeting the eligibility norms can make the payment of the application or registration through online mode.

The XAT application fee for XAT 2020 is INR 1800 irrespective of any categories you belong to such as General, SC, ST, PWD, OBC, and so on. However, the fee can be raised by the conducting authority, XLRI Jamshedpur. You will be charged an additional fee in case you miss the last date of registration date until December’19 first week.

Applicants are also permitted by XLRI to choose their preferred city just like a year ago. To do so the applicants can simply email at [email protected] by the specified date with the reference details such as XAT ID, chosen exam city, Name of your Father’s, Date of Birth and updated city. Although you are only allowed one attempt to do so as it is a provisional option and official decision entirely depends on the institute.

Follow the below mentioned process to fill the XAT application form

STEP 1: Open www.xatonline.in

STEP 2: Click on the Registration tab

Enter your Name, Date of Birth, Country, Mobile Number, Alternate Mobile Number, Email address and complete the registration process

After the completion of registration process, you will receive an email on your registered email id containing the login ID and password. Save “Login ID and Password”. This login id and password will be required for all future process of XAT 2020 examination.

STEP 3: On www.xatonline.in click on login, enter your login id and password to fill the form

Keep your 10th, 12th and Graduation’s mark sheets handy while filling the form.

STEP 4: Fill in your personal details

You need to fill in your personal details such as First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Father’s name, and Mother’s name, Nationality, Category, Communication Address, and Permanent Address. The details mentioned should be exactly the same as in your 10th, 12th or Graduation’s certificate. Any mismatch in the information can lead to the rejection of the application form.

Click on “Save & Continue” after adding all the details. Next section will be “Upload photo & Signature.

STEP 5: Upload Photo and Signature

In this section, candidates will have to upload a soft copy of Recent Passport size photograph in white background.

Photograph should be of 20KB-50KB in size with dimensions of 200 X 230 pixels.

Size of the Signature should be between 10KB-20KB.

STEP 6: Fill in academic details

Academic details of 10th, 12th, Graduation and master’s degree (if applicable) such as aggregate marks, total marks obtained, board details and the year of completion of the respective course will have to be mentioned in this section. Candidate should check on “YES” if he/she has any other professional degree, for example, CA, CS, ICWA.

Calculate percentage using total marks obtained irrespective of board’s standard. Aggregate marks would not be considered.

STEP 7: Fill in Work Experience

If candidate is having any full-time work experience it has to be mentioned in this column. Work experience after graduation till 31 March 2019 will be considered for this. Candidates without any work experience should click on “NO” option. In case if candidate has worked with more than one organization, work experience of up to five employees can be added.

STEP 8: Selection of Programs and test city centre

In this section, candidate can choose the program he/she wish to apply for. If applying for XLRI click on “Yes”, if not click on “No”.

Candidate will also have to select preference for city centre for online examination. There is an option to change the preference before 30th November 2019.

STEP 9 – Candidate should recheck all the information and then click submit. Once submitted no information can be altered in any circumstances.

STEP 10: Online Payment

Candidates can make the XAT application fee payment through credit card, debit card, net banking, wallet or cash card.

XAT registration fee (without late charges)-  INR1800

XAT registration fee (with late charges) – INR 2100

Fee for each additional PGDM XLRI course – INR 300

Fee for each additional PGDM XLRI course (with late charge) – INR 500

After successful payment of the fee candidate will receive a confirmation on the registered email id and mobile number.

General guidelines for filling XAT application form:

  • Candidates can use any browser among Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox. Update the browser before filling the form.
  • Fill the form
  • Fill the form very carefully. Double check all the details entered.
  • Convert CGPA score into total marks obtained with help of XLRI official website.
  • Submit XAT Application form early to avoid non-availability of preferred test centre.
  • The photograph should have a white or light-coloured background. The face of the candidate must be clearly visible else candidate can be denied to enter the examination hall.
  • The signature should be made on white plain paper with black ball pen. No capital letters are acceptable in Signature.
