TNPSC Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Academic Qualification and Age Limit

TNPSC 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates before applying for any job have to know about the eligibility given by the commission. The candidates who fail to fulfill the criteria, their application will be rejected by the authorities. All the candidates are advised to follow the instructions given below:

a).Educational qualification:

For CCI-I exam:

  • The candidate should possess a degree of any of the universities incorporated by the act of the central or state legislature in India or any other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university/college under section 3 of the university grants commission act, 1956.

For Assistant Agricultural officer

  • The candidate should possess higher secondary, diploma in agriculture from any recognized institutions.

For Assistant system Engineer:

  • The candidate should possess a B.E or B.Tech degree in any of the subjects given: computer science and engineering, computer engineering, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, or must have an overall or equivalent cumulative grade point average in class 10th, 12th.
  • Or the candidate must have minimum aggregated marks of the first class in mathematics and science in SSLC and must have a minimum aggregated in the first class in mathematics, physics, and chemistry in HSC.

For Assistant system Analyst:

  • The candidate should possess a B.E or B.Tech degree in any of the subjects given: computer science and engineering, computer engineering, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, or must have an overall or equivalent cumulative grade point average in class 10th, 12th.
  • Or the candidate must have minimum aggregated marks of the first class in mathematics and science in SSLC and must have a minimum aggregated in the first class in mathematics, physics, and chemistry in HSC. Or
  • Postgraduate degree in any of the following subjects: computer application (MCA), information technology, computer science or must have an overall or equivalent cumulative grade point average in class 10th, 12th. Or
  • Sc /BCA or Postgraduate degree the candidate must have minimum aggregated marks of the first class in mathematics and science in SSLC and must have a minimum aggregated in the first class in mathematics, physics, and chemistry in HSC.

For Senior Technical Assistant (STA) and Junior Technical Assistant (JTA):

STA:

  • The candidate must possess B.Sc degree in textile technology awarded by any university or institution recognized by the UGC
  • Must possess first class diploma in textile technology awarded by the state board of technical education and training, Tamil Nadu
  • Must possess first class diploma in than 3 years. handloom technology awarded by the state board of technical education and training, by Tamil Nadu government
  • Experience in weaving or spinning mills or handloom organization for a period of not less than 3 years.

JTA:

  • Must possess minimum general educational qualifications.
  • Must possess a diploma in handloom technology obtained from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi or Salem or from any other recognized institute of handloom technology.
  • Diploma in textile manufacture obtained from technological diploma exam board, Chennai state board of technical education and training, Tamil Nadu.

For District Educational officer:

The candidate must possess a degree/master’s degree with not less than 50% of marks in the relevant subject and B.T/ B.Ed. a degree of any recognized university in the state/a degree of equivalent standard and have studied Tamil under Part 1 and Part 2 of the intermediate or pre-university course or higher secondary course.

b). Age limit:

For CCS I exam:

  • The age limit as on 1-7-2019, the minimum age is 21 years.
  • The maximum age for SC, SC (A), ST, MBC/DC, BC, BCM and DW of all categories: for all the posts except the post of Assistant Commissioner (C.T): 37 years.
  • Assistant Commissioner: for applicants possessing any degree: 37 years, for applicants possessing B.L degree: 38 years.
  • Maximum age for others: for all the posts except the post of Assistant commissioner: 32 tears.
  • Assistant Commissioner: for applicants possessing any degree: 32 years, for applicants possessing B.L. degree: 33 years

For Assistant agricultural officer:

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Maximum: no maximum age limit for SC, SC (A), ST, MBC/DC,BC, BCM,& DW of all castes.
  • Maximum age: 30 years for others.

For Assistant system engineer and analyst:

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age for MBC/DC/BC(M), Widows of all castes: 32 years
  • Maximum age for SC/SC (A)/ST: 35 years.

For STA and JTA:

  • No maximum age limit for SC/ SC (A), ST, MBC/DC, BCAND BCM and destitute widows of all castes.
  • Maximum age limit for others: 30 years SI No 1 and 28 years for SI No 2.

For District educational officer:

  • No age limit for SC/ SC (A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM), BCM, and destitute widows of all castes.
  • For open market (others) – should not have completed 30 years.
  • For teacher employed in recognized aided/secondary schools/higher secondary schools- should not have completed 40 years.
