The application process for IBSAT 2026 officially opened on July 1, 2026. Serving as the gateway to a management career, IBSAT 2026 offers entry into 2-year full-time MBA and PGPM programs across nine IBS campuses nationwide using a single application fee of Rs 1,800. Who Can Apply? 

IBSAT 2026 welcomes candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds:  

Graduates & Final-Year Students: Candidates who have completed graduation or are currently in their final year in any discipline (Commerce, BBA, Science, Engineering, Arts, etc.).  

Working Professionals: Individuals with 2 to 3 years of work experience looking to fast-track their management careers.  

Qualified Professionals: CA-qualified candidates aiming to transition into corporate leadership roles.  

Step-by-Step Admission Process

The admission process for IBS campuses is structured into systematic stages to evaluate academic aptitude and leadership potential:  

Step 1: Online Application:

Register and submit the online application form at www.ibsat.org along with the Rs 1,800 application fee.  

Step 2: Entrance Examination:

Take the online IBSAT 2026 exam in December 2026. Alternatively, candidates can submit valid scores from national tests including CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC™, or GMAT™ (2024 onwards).  

Step 3: Shortlisting:

Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in IBSAT 2026 or accepted national entrance examinations.  

Step 4: Selection Process (February 2027):

Shortlisted applicants are invited to the IBS Hyderabad campus for the central selection round, which consists of two key components:  

Micro-Presentation: Evaluates communication skills, clarity of thought, and topic knowledge.  

Personal Interview (PI): Assesses professional attitude, domain understanding, and executive potential.  

Step 5: Campus Allotment:

Seat allotment across the nine campuses is decided based on graduation marks and selection process marks.   

Step 6: Admission Confirmation:

Candidates confirm their seat by paying the required admission fee to the respective IBS campus.  

Scholarships & Financial Aid

To support merit and inclusivity, IBS offers 500 scholarships worth Rs 2 Lakh each (totaling Rs 10 Crore). Key eligibility categories include:  

  • Merit / Test Toppers: Top performers in IBSAT 2026, CAT, XAT, GMAT™, or NMAT by GMAC™.  
  • Wards of IBS Alumni: Children of former IBS graduates.  
  • Wards of Defense Personnel: Children of serving or retired personnel from the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Paramilitary Forces.  
  • Physically Challenged Applicants: Differently-abled candidates meeting prescribed criteria.

Applying for IBSAT is a straightforward online process. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official IBS website and click on the “Apply Now” tab.
  2. Create your login credentials (registration ID and password) using a valid email address and mobile number.
  3. Fill in the application form with your personal, communication, and academic details.
  4. Upload documents — a recent passport-size photograph and a scanned signature in the prescribed format.
  5. Pay the application fee of ₹1,800 online via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
  6. Submit and verify all details carefully before final submission.

Once you submit successfully, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your login details. Keep these safe — you’ll need them to book your exam slot, download your admit card, take the test, and access your scorecard.

Important: The ₹1,800 fee is the same for all categories (no concession for SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD) and is non-refundable. Even candidates applying with valid CAT / XAT / NMAT / GMAT scores must pay this fee.
