MICA Ahmedabad offers a flagship 2-year PGDM program and a PGDM in Communication. Admission to these PGDM courses is based on CAT, XAT, or GMAT scores, followed by the MICAT test and Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI). MICAT is an internal examination conducted by MICA, consisting of three sections: a Psychometric Test, a Descriptive Test, and a section covering Divergent and Convergent Thinking, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, and General Awareness.
The final selection of candidates for admission to the MICA PGDM program in 2026 will be determined by their overall performance in CAT, XAT, or GMAT, MICAT, GE, and PI.

The MICA institute provides a two-year program for PGDM and PGDM-C. The PGDM-C course is available in several specialisations, including Advertising Management, Brand Management, Digital Communication Management, Marketing Analytics, and Media and Entertainment Management.
To be eligible for MICA Ahmedabad’s PGDM/PGDM-C programs, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or its equivalent. Candidates who are in their final year of a Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
MICA Ahmedabad uses a 3-step selection process for its PGDM and PGDM-C programs:
Step 1: Entrance Exam Score
Candidates are shortlisted based on their scores in the CAT/XAT/GMAT exams.
Step 2: MICA Admission Test (MICAT)
Shortlisted candidates must take the MICAT, which includes three sections:

Candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT (50%) and MICAT (50%) are invited for the final selection round, which includes GE & PI.

Candidates who qualify for Section A of MICAT will be considered based on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT exams. Those who meet the minimum cut-off in CAT/XAT/GMAT will be shortlisted for further rounds.
For those who qualify for CAT/XAT/GMAT, their Section B of MICAT will be evaluated.
Candidates who qualify based on relative performance, subject to a minimum cut-off in Section B of MICAT, will have their Section C of MICAT assessed.
MICA Ahmedabad offers a 3-year FPM course in 5 specialisations, namely Management, Communication, Marketing, Media & Entertainment, and Digital Marketing. To be eligible for this program, candidates must have a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks. Foreign nationals and NRIs with non-Indian degrees that are considered equivalent to the qualifications listed with GRE are also eligible to apply.
The FPM admission process at MICA consists of two steps. In the first step, eligible candidates have to appear for a telephonic interview. The shortlisted candidates then have to take MICA’s FPM Admission Test, which is a 3-day process organised at the campus. The Admission Test consists of a Written Test (WT), an Individual Presentation (IP), and a Personal Interview (PI).
The WT is a descriptive test that checks the candidate’s theoretical understanding of communication, their ability to investigate a communication phenomenon, and their ability to interpret data and draw conclusions. Candidates shortlisted after the telephonic interview are informed via email and are required to bring copies of the readings to the WT, as it is an open-book exam. During the IP, candidates present a topic based on their submitted research proposal using PowerPoint presentations. In the PI round, a panel of experts assesses the candidate’s personality and passion for research.
MICA Ahmedabad provides a one-year residential program called Crafting Creative Communication (CCC).
MICA Ahmedabad CCC Eligibility: To be eligible for admission to the CCC program, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 system) in any discipline or equivalent. Even those in their final year of a Bachelor’s degree program can apply.
MICA Ahmedabad Admission Criteria for CCC Selection: Admission to the program is based on a written test, followed by a Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates are required to take the written test, which is conducted via email within 48 hours. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for the GE and PI. The final selection is based on the candidate’s overall performance.

MICA provides scholarships to students enrolled in its residential programs based on their academic achievements and family income. Presently, scholarships are offered only to those enrolled in any one of the residential programs. The scholarships are valued at up to 25% of the program’s annual fees per student.
MICA provides scholarships to students based on their academic performance, attendance, family income (not exceeding Rs. 8 lacs per annum), and other achievements. These scholarships are currently available to students enrolled in any of the residential programs and cover up to 25% of the annual fees for each student.
A total of 19 scholarships are awarded each year, including nine for the first year of the PGD program, eight for the second year of the PGD program, and two for the CCC program. To be eligible for a scholarship, students need to provide income certificates and bank statements for previous years.
