IIM Indore Scholarships

IIM Indore has introduced several Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) schemes tailored for students from low-income families. In addition to NBFA, there are various scholarship programs offered by the Government of India and numerous industries/corporations associated with IIM Indore.

IIM Indore Scholarships

Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA)

  • Administered by the PGP Executive Committee and NBFA Committee at IIM Indore
  • Eligibility: Students with a gross family income not exceeding INR 4,50,000 in the previous year

Below are the specified amounts of financial aid provided to students according to their family income brackets:

Scholarships Offered by the Central Government of India

Central Sector Scholarship for SC/ST Students:

  • Eligibility: Students with a gross family income of less than INR 4,50,000 in the previous financial year.
  • This scholarship specifically targets students from SC/ST categories.
  • The scholarship covers various expenses including tuition fees, non-refundable charges, lodging & boarding charges, books & stationery charges, and the cost of IT equipment for the first year.

Minority Welfare Scholarship (Merit-cum-Means):

  • Eligibility: Reserved for students with a family income not exceeding INR 2,50,000 per annum.
  • This scholarship, based on merit, is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
 

Scholarships Offered by Industries

In addition to NBFA and government scholarships, financial assistance is also available from various industries. Here are some examples:

Aditya Birla Scholarships:

  • This program supports meritorious students from their first year.
  • Eligible students, who rank among the top 25 performers in terms of CGPA, can continue to receive the scholarship in their second year.
  • Typically, 1 or 2 students are selected, receiving a reimbursement of INR 1,75,000.

OPJEMS Scholarships:

  • Top 20 students from the second year, based on their previous year grades or CGPA, are eligible.
  • 1 or 2 students are selected based on eligibility criteria, including a written test and personal interview.
  • Selected students receive a reimbursement of INR 1,25,000.

State Bank of India (SBI) Scholarships:

  • These scholarships are merit-based and awarded annually.
  • Qualified students receive a reimbursement of INR 1,50,000.

Eicher Scholarships:

  • Awarded to deserving students based on merit each year.
  • Recipients receive an amount of INR 50,000.
