IIM Calcutta Cut-off

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Cutoff

For admission to the MBA programme at IIM Calcutta, candidates must meet the minimum overall and section-wise CAT percentile cutoffs. These cutoffs are used to shortlist applicants for Stage 2 of the selection process (WAT & PI). The minimum qualifying CAT cutoffs for 2024 shortlisting are outlined below:

Category VARC DILR QA Overall Percentile
Open ≥80 ≥80 ≥75 ≥85
EWS ≥70 ≥65 ≥65 ≥75
NC-OBC ≥70 ≥65 ≥65 ≥75
SC ≥65 ≥60 ≥60 ≥70
ST ≥55 ≥55 ≥55 ≥65
PwD ≥45 ≥45 ≥45 ≥55

Note: These are minimum eligibility cutoffs. The actual sectional and overall percentiles required for shortlisting are often significantly higher, depending on the number of candidates shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) in each category.

IIM Calcutta GMAT Cutoff (Minimum Requirement)

Candidates applying through GMAT scores must hold a valid GMAT score of at least 735 overall. In addition, applicants are required to score a minimum of 89 each in the following sections:

  • Verbal Reasoning

  • Quantitative Reasoning

  • Data Insights

Meeting the minimum cutoff does not guarantee shortlisting, as final calls are based on the institute’s composite evaluation criteria.
