SBI Clerk 2019 Eligibility Criteria

3.1 Short Description:

In order to be eligible to appear for the SBI Clerk examination, it is necessary you satisfy all the requirement of the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is classified into the categories which are age, educational qualification, nationality,

3.2 Table for Eligibility Criteria

3.2.1. Nationality:

  • The candidate willing to appear for SBI Clerk exam should be an Indian holding an Indian citizenship.
  • If a candidate is a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, a refugee from Tibet who has migrated to India with the intention of settling in India permanently, on or before 1st of January 1962 is eligible to appear for this examination.
  • Candidates who are persons of Indian origin and have migrated to India from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Kenya, Burma, Vietnam with the intention of settling in India permanently are eligible to appear for SBI Clerk examination.
  • Persons of Indian Origin, who have migrated from east African countries like Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi intending to settle in India permanently can also appear for SBI Clerk Exam.

The above candidates who are persons of Indian Origin need a certificate to that effect from the Government of India which they must present along with the list of documents.

3.2.2. Qualification:

  • The aspirant Candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university by the central government in any discipline.
  • The candidates who are in their final year or semester may also appear for this exam. However, they are supposed to present their proof of passing the Graduation Exam during the verification of document which is done before joining.
  • For those who possess an Integrated Dual Degree, must ensure that their IDD hold the passing date of 1st January 2019 or before that.
  • Candidate must know how to read, write and understand English language
  • The candidate must have the knowledge of the official local language and must produce a proof of the same through submitting the 10th or 12th standard mark sheet.

3.2.3. Age:

The candidates willing to appear for SBI Clerk Exam must not be below the age of 20 years and not more than 28 years old. However, this criterion applies only to the candidates belonging to general category and has some relaxations for the candidates of the reserved category. The relaxation is in the form of extra years offered to certain candidates. The relaxation is as under:
