JPSC Eligibility Criteria 2018 - Academic Qualification and Age Limit

JPSC 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should satisfy all the eligibility criteria needed for the exam. If any candidate is found to have not fulfilled any of the conditions, then their candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the exam. Further claims regarding the conditions will not be entertained.

Eligibility based on the nationality:

Only the Indian citizens are allowed to appear for this exam. it should be noted that the people who belong to other states can also appear for this exam. This is no specific domicile requirement for the state.

Eligibility condition based on age:

A candidate should have a minimum age of 20 years and a maximum age of 35 years for appearing in this age. The age relaxation had been provided for various categories of candidates. The maximum age for Backward Classes I and Backward Classes II is 37 years. It is 40 years for the people belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes ( for both male and the female) while it is 38 years for the people belonging to the category of Female Unserved and Backward Classes I and Backward classes II.

For calculating the minimum and the maximum age, the dates are 1st August 2016 and 1st August 2010 respectively.

Eligibility condition based on Educational background

The educational criteria are also different for different services.

Education Services Under graduation in Commerce/Arts/Science or any other subjects
Information Services Under graduation in Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Geography, Agricultural science, Mathematics.
Cooperative Services Under graduation in any subject
Planning Services Under graduation in Arts/Science/Commerce or any other fields

It should be noted that the candidates should have passed the degree from a recognized University. The people who are in the final year for whom results are not declared are not eligible to appear in this exam. There are no minimum marks to be secured for applying to these posts. Before applying for these posts, candidates are advised to go through these eligibility conditions and apply accordingly. Make sure you have entered all the details accurately to avoid any discrepancies in the latter stages of the exam.
