GUJCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In order to appear for the examination, a candidate needs to meet certain eligibility criteria. Any aspirant who does not have the right eligibility condition, will not be permitted to sit for the test. Therefore, it is very important for the candidates to make sure that every single criterion is met before they apply for the exam. Only if the candidates can match their eligibility requirements, they should carry on with the other procedures. Below are the criteria to be eligible for GUJCET 2023 –

  • Nationality: The candidates need to be of Indian nationality
  • State Eligibility: The candidates need to be residents of the state of Gujarat. Those who are actually residents of Gujarat and are residing presently in other states are also eligible to appear for the exam
  • Academic Qualification: The criteria as far as academic qualification is as follows:
    • The candidate needs to successfully complete 10+2, or equivalent from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
    • Those who are expected to complete their 10+2 in the year 2023, will also be considered as eligible candidates
  • Marks: In the qualifying examination, a candidate is required to secure a minimum of 45% marks, On the other hand, as far as the candidates from the reserved category are concerned, for them, minimum aggregate 40% marks will suffice.

State Eligibility

The candidate has to be the resident of the state of Gujarat. Both the individuals who are residing in Gujarat and those who are resident of Gujarat but staying in another state they can also seat for this exam.

Academic Qualification
  • The candidate must complete and passed his +2 examination or any equivalent examination from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or CBSE Delhi/ International School Board/ CISCE New Delhi/NIOS.
  • Candidates who are also appearing for their +2 examination they can also seat for this test.
Marks

To pass the examination the candidate has to secure a minimum of 45% marks. Whereas for the SC/ST candidate a minimum of 40% marks is required.

Here are the different eligibility criteria for the students who want to appear for the GUJCET 2023 entrance examination. The university authorities are very strict about the eligibility criteria and the students should double check every eligibility and carry the documents that will support their claim of being eligible. Now we will move on to the section which will show the candidates the details about the seat reservations for the examination.

Search Reservations – Applicants belonging to the special group will be eligible to submit an application for the specific reserved seats. There are a certain number of seats that are reserved under every category and upon meeting the requirements, the candidates will be eligible for those seats. Here is a brief detail on the seats that are reserved

6. Children of Defense Personnel and Ex-Servicemen Total 1%

 Now the students are aware of the number of seats reserved they will need to get their official documents in case they are from any of the reserved categories. The next section will deal with the important steps that will help the students to register themselves at the official website of the University and approve themselves so that they can appear for the exam.
