It is a state level exam which is organized by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka for the students who are interested in pursuing their graduation in Engineering. Candidates who want to study Architecture can also give this exam. The total number of seats offered through COMEDK is around 20,000. But the application is given by more than 72,000 students. COMEDK UGET 2019 Eligibility Criteria
To appear in COMEDK exam, it is important for the candidates to satisfy all the eligibility criteria. Not complying with even one condition would lead to the canceling of candidature. So, candidates should go through all the eligibility criteria before applying for this exam. This eligibility criterion is different for engineering and architectural courses. Eligibility criteria are majorly based on the marks in the qualifying exam. The eligibility conditions for engineering and architecture are given in the tables mentioned below.
It is important for candidates to complete the registration process as early as possible. Candidates should have the necessary documents in hand while applying for the exam. This would help in filling adequate details in the form without any mistakes. Candidates are advised to fill the application form once it is released so that you can avoid the last minute rush due to server problems. You can use only the online mode for filling the application form. The process of filling the application form is very simple. The link for online filling of application form will be published in the official website in the 3rd week of January 2019. The last date for submission of the application form will be in the second week of April 2019. Candidates need to follow the instructions given below for successful filling of the application form.
Candidates have to get into the official website of COMDEK and open the link which is given for the registration. Once the registration is done, you will be getting User ID and password.

Enter the details such as name, category, gender, address, educational details etc. Have complete focus while entering the details. Please note that once you have entered the details, you cannot change it.
The examination is conducted only through the online mode. The exam consists of objective type questions. For the engineering courses, candidates have to attend only one paper with 180 questions and the duration of paper is around 3 hours. For the medical courses, you have to attend two papers. Paper 1 consists of 120 questions and the duration of the paper is around 2 hours while paper 2 consists of 90 questions and this paper is conducted for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Candidates also have the option to apply for both the streams. Each question is awarded one mark and there is no negative marking. The language medium used for this exam is English.

Admit cards will be available on the official website of the exam. It is generally published one week before the exam. It should be noted that the admit cards will not be sent to the candidates by post. Therefore, applicants have to download the hall ticket once it is made available on the website.
It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the admit card to the exam hall. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit cards. So, it is essential for the candidates to keep the admit cards till the process of admission gets over.
Candidates can write their exams in around 140 cities all around India. Applicants have the option to give three cities as preferences. A list of examination centres is given below.
Results will be released on the official website of COMEDK in May. Results will be checked solely through the online mode. Merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored by the applicants. Along the merit list, the scorecards of the candidates will also be published on the website. Candidates should use the user ID and password to download the scorecard from the website. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the print out of the scorecard to the counselling hall. Without the scorecard, the counselling process of particular candidates will be hampered.
It should be noted that the hard copy of the score card will not be sent to the candidates by post/courier/email.
Cut-off will be the deciding factor of the candidate’s place in the engineering college. The cut-off will be released after the publication of the results.
The cut-offs will be different for different subjects. Most wanted courses among the students will have higher cut-offs. Students who are aiming for such courses should work hard. The cut-offs are released separately by all the institutes which are participating in the counselling process. Based on those cut-off marks, applicants will be allotted the seats.
Cut-offs will be different for different category of the students. It will be higher for those students who are belonging to the general category while it is less for the candidates from the reserved category. You can find the mention of opening rank and closing rank in the cut-off list. This will be decided based on the institutes and courses. At the closing rank, the particular college or course will be closed for the further admission.
