NIFT Shillong Scholarship

NIFT offers scholarship programme at all of its campuses to assist the deserving candidates who struggle financially. NIFT scholarship programme is provided for both PG and UG candidates depending on their family income per annum. Normally, the scholarship is offered to the candidates whose family income is up to 4 lakhs. For candidates whose family income is lesser will be provided with a higher percentage of financial assistance. The lowest per cent is 25%.

NIFT offers mainly two types of scholarship programme for the meritorious candidates. These programmes include SARTHAK and UDAAN. Under Sarthak, an UG candidate shall get up to 100% financial assistance and up to 75% financial assistance is provided for the PG candidates.

On the other side, Udaan scholarship programme is mainly designed for foreign studies. The candidates who fulfil all the eligibility criteria for Sarthak can be considered for Udaan scholarship programme. However, the benefits of these benefits shall not be availed to the NRI or NRI sponsored candidates.

NIFT scholarship benefit covers tuition fees on actuals, Hostel or Dormitory Charges, Technology Fees, Student Activity Fee, Recreation and Athletics Fees, Health Service and Insurance, travel expense on economy class, Subsistence allowance as per table 4.4 and Visa fees.
