NIFT Shillong Result and Cutoff

National Institute of Fashion Technology Shillong was established in the year 2008. It offers both UG and PG programmes, the eligibility criteria for which varies. NIFT cutoff is the minimum marks that a candidate needs to secure in order to get admission into any of the NIFT campuses. After the declaration of the NIFT result, institute releases separate cutoff list for every campus.

NIFT Result 2019 was announced in May, which can be checked on the official website. The cutoff is the subject to programme-wise and category-wise merit ranking. The institute announces its cutoff after the entrance examination that is conducted via NIFT authority. Every year, the cutoff may vary depending on the available seats, a number of students appeared previous year’s result and so on. The cutoff of the present year can be checked on the official website of NIFT Shillong.

The closing rank of NIFT depends on the following factors-

• The total number of candidates who have appeared in the NIFT entrance examination.
• A total number of candidates who have passed the test.
• The difficulty level of the exam.
• Availability of seats in the different programmes.

The cutoff for Fashion Design under B.Des in 2018 was 2013 in the General category and for SC and ST, it was 5478 and 5881 respectively.
