Manipal University Courses and Fee Structure

Originally founded as Kasturba Medical College – India’s first private medical school in 1953, Manipal soon opened up the Manipal Institute of Technology in 1958 and hasn’t looked back ever since. Today, it is an enormous institution with 19 colleges under its umbrella.

Manipal teaches 218 different programmes from 19 varying disciplines including humanities, commerce and business administration. Fee structure of manipal university is given on the table below. 

Courses Offered by Manipal University at the undergraduate programmes, the B.Tech, BOT, BPT, B.Des, B.Pharm and BHM courses take up to four years to complete.

Bachelors’ degrees such as a B.Sc or a B.A takes only three years to complete. The Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing is the shortest UG course and takes only two years to complete. The medical courses – BDS and MBBS are the longest courses. They take four and five years to complete, respectively.

The masters’ courses at MAHE usually take two years to complete. However, most of the medical or allied programmes take three years to finish. These include the MD, DM and MS programmes among others of its kind.

Different programmes have set up different criteria that the applicants have to follow. Should they match the points, they are allowed to sit for the admission test. For B.Tech and M. Tech applicants, there is the MET.

The ranking of which is subject to further shortlisting by any university. While medical applicants have to clear the NEET cutoffs while the same goes for MBA applicants and their score in CAT/MAT/XAT, etc.

The applications for MET cost around INR 2,000. It is non-refundable and has to be paid for online. The admission fees, on the other hand, have to be paid for just before the time of admission. For those who cannot pay the full amount at once are given a limited number of days to complete the process, only after very careful consideration.   • Manipal’s MBBS course is one of the most exclusive courses in the country with an extremely high cutoff. The admission is based on the candidate’s NEET scores. It is also very expensive and costs around INR 50.5 lakhs over the course of five years of study.
  • The Manipal Institute of Technology is renowned throughout the country for its faculty and for its placement percentage. The college provides 16 specialisations to choose from. The B.Tech programme costs around INR 14.51 lakhs.
  • TAPMI’s MBA programmes in Healthcare Management and Global Business Management cost INR 5.54 lakhs for two years.
  • The average bachelors’ degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education can set an applicant by INR 6.91 lakhs.
