IIT Madras Placements 2022
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras, also known as IIT Madras, is conducting its placement drive for the academic year 2021-22, and there has been an increase in the number of Pre-Placement Offers made accounting for 231 PPOs as of November 5, 2021, which is the highest in the last 5 years, and there has been a 43 percent increase in placements on Day 1 first’s session.
In phase 1 of placements 2022, a total of 1500 students registered for placements during the 2021-22 placements, and 1316 offers were made by 226 participating recruiters, including 45 international offers made by 14 recruiters and 186 offers made by 62 start-ups. The second phase of placements will begin in the second half of January 2022. The highest CTC was INR 1.89 CPA, while the average CTC was INR 22.7 LPA. The institute also released its summer internship placements report for the class of 2021, which revealed that 619 internship opportunities were available from 140 recruiters.
Qualcomm, Microsoft, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, and many other top recruiters took part in the 2021 placement drive.

On day one of the institute’s placements for batch 2022, there was a 43 percent increase in the number of offers, with 176 offers made by 34 participating recruiters, including 11 international offers.
During the batch 2022 phase 1 placement, a total of 226 companies made 1316 offers, including 231 PPOs. 14 recruiters have received 45 international offers so far, and 62 startups have made 186 offers.
In the 2021 placement drive, 256 companies participated, and 725 students were placed, with approximately 1046 offers made. During the 2021 placement drive, the highest CTC was INR 70 LPA, and the average CTC was INR 20.58 LPA. The majority of students were placed in the Analytics, Consulting, and Finance sectors, and top recruiters such as Microsoft, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments participated in the 2021 placement drive.
