Institute Scholarships
- Institute Scholarships: Fee waivers awarded based on merit-cum-means. Available to 4-year BTech (Hons), 5-year Dual Degree, 5-year BArch (Hons.), and 5-year Integrated MSc courses, and the 4-year BS program, excluding SC and ST students who are eligible for Post-Matric Scholarships. No more than 25% of students admitted to Undergraduate and Dual Degree programs each year are eligible. The Board of Governors determines the scholarship amount, which includes exemption from Institute tuition.
Endowment and Alumni-Funded Scholarships
- Endowment Scholarships: Awarded based on highest CGPA in the preceding semester among the same batch.
IIT Kharagpur Foundation (IITKGPF) of USA Award Program

International Internships Award Program: Supports meritorious students at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels for international internships. Award amounts range from USD 3,000-5,000. Final approval depends on internship completion, return before the Autumn Semester, and approvals from faculty advisors and HoDs.

International Participation Award Program: Supports students pursuing international research and professional internships. Awards range from USD 3,000-5,000, with the same conditions as the internship program.
Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF) USA
- Postgraduate Scholarships: For self-funded international students at the postgraduate level. Offers INR 25,000 per month for tuition, accommodation, mess, and living expenses. Eligibility includes a CGPA of at least 8.5 and no disciplinary issues.
Shri Gopal Rajgarhia International Program (SGRIP)
- Endowment Fund: Established to support initiatives enhancing IIT Kharagpur’s international participation.
