IIM Bangalore Cutoff 2026
The IIM Bangalore Shortlist Cutoff refers to the minimum CAT percentile required to receive an interview call. These cutoffs are used to prepare the first shortlist of candidates, and the actual CAT percentiles of shortlisted candidates may be significantly higher.
The shortlist is prepared based on sectional and overall CAT performance in:

Minimum percentile requirements for the first shortlist*
IIM Bangalore Pre-PI Score Weightage (Stage I)
The PGP admission process begins with the submission of the online application form.
In Stage I, IIM Bangalore prepares the first shortlist of candidates who:

Secure the minimum required percentile in all CAT 2025 sections

Obtain a positive score in VARC, DILR, and QA
For candidates shortlisted at this stage, a Pre-PI Composite Score is calculated using the following weightage:
CAT Weightage in Pre-PI Stage (Total: 55 Points)

VARC: 19 points

DILR: 21 points
-
QA: 15 points
Note: The gender diversity score is applied only at the Pre-PI stage and is not carried forward to the next stage.
Stage II: PI & WAT Process
The second stage of the admission process consists of:

Personal Interview (PI)

Written Ability Test (WAT)
Both are conducted on the same day and at the same location.
The WAT duration is approximately 30 minutes.
IIM Bangalore Post-PI Weightage Criteria
For candidates appearing in PI and WAT, the Post-PI Composite Score is calculated with revised CAT weightage.
CAT Weightage in Post-PI Stage (Total: 25 Points)
