IIM Bangalore offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, all of which are strictly entrance-based. The flagship program of the institute is the PGP (MBA). For 2026, the total MBA fee at IIM Bangalore is INR 26 lakhs. Admission to the MBA program is based on valid CAT 2025 scores, followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI).

The admission process is carried out in two stages. In Stage 1, candidates must submit the online application form and appear for CAT 2025. Based on the CAT scores, IIM Bangalore prepares an initial shortlist. For those shortlisted, a pre-PI score is calculated. This score takes into account multiple parameters, including CAT percentile, 10th and 12th board marks, graduation score, work experience, and gender diversity.

Stage 2 of the admission process consists of the Written Ability Test and the Personal Interview, which are conducted on the same day at the same location. The WAT has a duration of about 30 minutes. The final admission decision is based on a composite score that includes CAT, PI, WAT, academic performance, and work experience.

Apart from the MBA, IIM Bangalore also offers admission to the PGP in Business Analytics (PGP-BA). For this program, candidates must hold at least 50% marks in graduation, with a relaxation of 5% for reserved category students. Admission is based on CAT scores followed by WAT and PI, and the duration of the course is two years.
