IIITDM Kancheepuram Campus Facilities

IIITDM Kancheepuram address is in Melakottaiyur Village, Near Kandigai, Off Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road at Nellikuppam in the Indian state of Chennai. Until August 2011, IIITDM Kancheepuram was functioning at IIT Madras campus after that the Institute moved to its permanent campus located at about 30 km from Chennai International airport, at Melakottaiyur village.

The state of the art permanent campus has spread over 51.75 acres of land allotted by the Govt of Tamilnadu which is close to many educational institutes and is well connected to the Chennai City. This campus is located in close proximity to the Physical Education University, TN Police Housing Quarters and Unitech Residential Zone. 

Institute has state of the art infrastructure comprises of laboratories, classrooms, library and hostel facilities, sports facilities, ATM etc. The campus has a library which has a large and diverse collection of books by international and national authors and subscribes to many national and international journals and electronic sources which are also available to the students through the intranet.

There are an Indian Bank ATM and re-launch services,  Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and City Union Bank are available within a two km radius. IIITDM Kancheepuram hostel has separate residential facilities for all the students. 

IIITDM Kancheepuram faculty are very much qualified and expert in their respective fields. IIITDM Kancheepuram also has an indoor sports complex with, badminton, basketball court, table tennis room, along with tennis court, football ground, cricket ground, athletic field, outdoor sports ares. The campus is designed with auditorium, cafeteria, guest house and parking space.

For an overall growth of the students IIITDM has many clubs like, Cultural Club, Fun Club, Art Club, The Language Club, Dramatics Club, Literature Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Photography Club, Gaming Club, Adventure Club, along with some technical clubs i,e, Designer’s Club, Robotics, Electronics Club, Zerone club, Entrepreneurship and investment club, Industrial Design Corner, Ingenium Club.
