About College

The Acharya School of Management (ASM) was founded in Bengaluru over a decade ago in 2009 by a group of like minded philanthropists and educators. ASM is a privately-held institution which is a part of the Acharya Group - a Karnataka based educational trust. The institute has permanent affiliation with the Bangalore University.

Other than bachelors and masters degrees, ASM also offers postgraduate diploma (PGDM) courses in six disciplines and short-term certificate (STC) courses in very specific areas of management. The PGDM courses are approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.

The Acharya School of Management is headed by renowned educator and the director of the institute, Professor Ramanaiah G. ASB is known for its record for its faculty being very interactive with the students. Figures such as Professors Gururaj Urs and Nijaguna G and Assistant Professors, Renuka Devi and Virupaksha Goud are very popular among the students.

Business Today has ranked the institution at 101 on a national basis and 36th in South India. Not only does ASB have permanent affiliation with the Bangalore University but is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. It is recognised by the Indian University Grants Commission, as well.   

Acharya School of Management Courses and Fee Structure

Acharya School of Management offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of business management. It has iconic faculty members and governing bodies who are internationally recognized. The institute’s main aim is to keep upgrading their curriculum as per industry standards.

Course Highlights

  • The MBA course offers two specialisations in international business and finance and accounting.
  • The university’s BBA course has a very broad spectrum of study.
  • There are six PGDM courses available, each with its own specialisation. These are: international business, supply chain management, marketing, finance, human resource management, strategy and entrepreneurship and research and business analytics.
  • There are short-term certificate courses in very specific areas of management such as international business, united family business and accounting.

Acharya School of Management Admission Process

The admission to the postgraduate programmes offered by the Acharya School of Management is based on the candidate’s performance in the National Level Management Entrance Examinations. Eligible exams include, CAT, KMAT, XAT, ATMA, etc. The basic eligibility criteria for candidates to apply that they must have at least 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree. Should the candidate match the aforementioned criteria, they are called in for a personal interview and group discussion.

For undergraduate applicants, the basic eligibility criteria is that they must have more 50% in their 10+2 levels. The final admission is based on the cutoff that the institute sets.

BBA

Eligibility: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks on aggregate.

Selection Process: The selection process is done on the basis of the candidate’s CAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, XAT or KMAT scores. Alternatively, the candidates can also appear for the IIHMR-U MAT which is a suitable substitute of the aforementioned exams.   

MBA

Eligibility: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks on aggregate.

PGDM

STCC

Eligibility: The prospective candidate must at least have a minimum 55% marks in their 10+2 levels.

Selection Process: The selection process will be done on the basis of an entrance exam. Should the candidate clear the written test they are invited for a personal interview on whose basis the final selection is made.

Acharya School of Management Placements

Being innovative and excellent in academics with 100% placement into huge MNC’s visiting every year, ASM has made a great record in this field. The placement team of the university arranges campus recruitments listing some of the major dream companies of the students. Final year students get internship opportunity in the last semester of their courses and as well as job offers with good salaries.

Acharya School of Management Bangalore Results and Cutoff

ASM teaches MBA courses that are highly specialised. There are 69 seats in the MBA programme and 49 seats in the Master of International Business programme. Additionally, the BBA batch takes in 60 students while the PGDM courses have the allocation for 30 seats, each. The cutoff is considerably lower than most of its peers. The CAT 2018 cutoff was at 50 percentile while the XAT and MAT cutoffs for the same year was 60 percentile.

Alumni Network

The ASM Alumni Network was created with the objective of cultivating a mutually beneficial network between the university and its alumni. The Alumni Cell serves as the primary link that the university uses to tap into insider information from the industry. This information is used to better prepare the current students for the market.

Campus

Acharya School of Management is a part of an architectural wonder with a state of the art facilities. It has 12 residence halls out of which 5 are for boys and 7 for girls. The college provides you all that you wish for during your stay. It has a capacity of accommodating over 1500 students who can choose among single, double or three bedded rooms. Moreover, it has common rooms for reading newspapers and watching TV.
