How is the XAT percentile calculated?
To estimate your XAT score before the official results are released, you can use the answer key provided by XAT one week after the online exam. To calculate your score, follow these steps:
- Use the answer key to determine how many questions you answered correctly and incorrectly.
- Multiply the number of incorrect answers by 0.25.
- Subtract this result from the total number of correct answers.
- Keep in mind that you will lose 0.10 marks for every 8 questions you skip.
- The final result is your estimated score for the exam.
XAT 2023 percentiles are calculated based on the scaled scores of each category and the overall scaled score. The percentile score (P) of a candidate with ranking (r) in any section of the XAT exam is determined using the following formula:
XAT 2023 expected cutoff
After the exam, the cut-off for 2023 will be announced by the Xavier School of Management (XLRI). The XAT cut-off scores will vary for each institute and will be released separately. Candidates can determine if they are selected for the counselling phase by comparing their percentile on the XAT scorecard with the cut-off marks established by the institute. If a candidate meets the XAT cut-off 2023, they will be eligible to participate in the admission rounds. However, admission to a program will only be granted after the GD and PI processes have been completed. Therefore, passing the cut-off is just one part of the admission process, and doing well in the selection rounds of the counselling sessions is the other part.
