Student Reviews & CAT Preparation Tips

PG reached out to  CAT exam candidates for 2021 & 2022 to share their insights on the secret to perfect scores. If you are a CAT aspirant, these tips will help you structure your prep journey.

“Finding the right mentor or coach who guides you through to the very end plays a prominent role in channelling efforts in the right direction with discipline and consistency. Ultimately, it all comes down to having solid faith in yourself because it’s a journey towards what you wish to build. Being adamant on this CAT preparation journey and helping students on their way through is also what’s taught at Possible Education. Keep your focus on & be confident in your preparation.”

Rahul Sharma,

Exam – CAT 2016, 2020, and 2021

Percentile – 100

“My advice to CAT 2022 candidates is to trust themselves and not be concerned about the test. I feel it’s more about learning management and the thrill of the attempt rather than the pressure. Moreover, throughout the test, the emphasis should be on correctness rather than solving the complete paper. It all comes down to how you choose, manage, and attempt the paper, not how many questions you attempt.”

Soham Katkar
Exam – CAT  2020, and 2021

Percentile – 100

“The CAT Exam is becoming increasingly competitive as the years go by. In 2022, for example, the logical reasoning section was particularly challenging. Many candidates struggle with managing their time during the exam, as they may spend too much time on a single question and not have enough time left for the rest. To prepare for the CAT Exam, it is important to practice and develop the ability to accurately assess which questions to attempt.”

Ravi Dawda, CAT Expert

Exam – CAT 2021, 2022

“After a year-long preparation, I was expecting somewhere above 90 percentile. This being my first CAT attempt, I was optimistic. After the exam, however, I was sure I would be unable to clear the DI/LR sectional cut-off, which proved true. However, after the attempt, I was expecting somewhere around 75 percentile but was left surprised when my score turned out to be 85 percentile. I was particularly aiming for the Liberal Science Management course at IIM Kozhikode. So now, my backup plan is to apply for the same course through GRE.”

Meena Gupta, New Delhi

Exam – CAT 2022

Percentile – 89
