In the year 1945, the Services Commissions were established at Calcutta, Bombay, Lucknow and, Madras. In the year 1948, the Indian Railway Enquiry Committee reexamined the working of these commissions. In the year 1949, due to financial restraints, a limitation was imposed on hiring in our Indian Railways consequently numbers of commissions are decreased to one primarily located at Bombay. In the year 1953 to 1954 when the economic situations of Indian Railway developed, 4 service representatives were newly set up at Madras, Bombay, Allahabad, and Calcutta. In the year 1956, the Estimates panel generally accepted the method of recruitment by the structure of the Railway Service Commissions. In the year 1983, to provide to the requirements of areas which were doing neglected due to locations of the current commissions, 7 more boards were set up viz, at Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bhuvneshwar, Jammu, Srinagar and Chandigarh with assembling at Leh and Trivandrum. In the year 1984, 2 more service commissions were installed up at Gorakhpur and Malda. In January of 1985 Railway Commissions has been renamed as Railway Recruitment Board which is called as RRB. At present we have twenty-one Railway Recruitment Boards which are functioning.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern and Syllabus
RRB NTPC 2019 Exam will be led in 2 stages such that the 1st stage (Prelims) and 2nd stage (Mains Exam). The Syllabus for RRB NTPC stage one and stage two are the same. The main shift in stage one and stage two for RRB NTPC exam is the exam model. RRB NTPC exam will hold of three sections such that Reasoning & General Intelligence, Mathematics (Arithmetic Ability), and General Awareness (General Science).
We have 4 sections in RRB NTPC 2019 that is Mathematics, General Intelligence and reasoning and General Awareness. The Mathematics section will have 30 questions will have 30 marks, General Intelligence and reasoning will have 30 questions which 30 marks, General Awareness will have 40 questions which is 40 marks. The total duration for the exam is 90 minutes.

The Questions will be of objective type with MCQ’s and are expected to include questions concerning to:
a) Mathematics, RRB NTPC Syllabus
